I redid the mag, much better...
and since I don't know much about electronics, I found the perfect thing to use for my ammo counter...Light Saber Lollipops! A simple rewire, and most of the work is done...lol
I also cut and frosted the plexiglass for the counter, frosted with 240 grit sandpaper...
which I then painted with black primer and etched the image in with my exacto...
its not bad, but not great...I might redo it...you get the point though...

HAHA! LOVE IT. This rifle cost me total so far...(drum roll...)(wait for it...)(waaait for it...) $26!!! can't beat that!

first round of plasti-dip...looking good...seems are all pretty much filled...this guy is pretty happy right now...

drjag- thanks, I actually impressed myself with the thrifty nature of this build...and to think, I almost bought one for $400 on eBay like 6 months ago...
Drack- always appreciated man. The undergrip is coming out nice, just looking for something to connect it with, its too heavy for foam pieces, and the connection in the blueprint is an odd shape...
@everyone else- thanks guys! I'll be back to the actual suit in a few days after i knock out the rifle. It's good to walk away from a project once in a while and do something else, keeps it interesting for me.

COMPLETELY off topic, i know, but I need to vent...finally found time to see Iron Man 3 tonight...what garbage. Seriously, shame on Marvel for allowing that rubbish to happen. Did anyone read that script before it went into production? Anyone that knows anything about ANY Iron Man storylines of the last 60 years??? Anyone? No, I didn't think so...Marvel Studios- Enjoy those ridiculous box office dollars, obviously thats all that mattered here...do you even care about the fans that grew up with Iron Man and the Mandarin and what not? sorry, RPF...had to vent...this is one pissed off fanboy...more progress on the suit tomorrow.

Dude, it's okay to vent. You know why they made the Mandarin the way he was right? Because it was a film, not a comic. I've studied how to write screenplays and how to interpret already existing stories into screenplays and it's just one man's 'take' on it. I agree that it was a bit disapointing, but it's what angle they decided to play. That simple. I hope you get feeling better about it, it's a shame a film will make you mad... OH... by the way, great progress on your suit, and that gun.... that gun is probably one of the best AR's I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot
