My opinion if Lucas did the Sequels (or Prequels if you didn't like them) is that no matter what, that was the story the creator wanted to tell. What we got from Disney is just fanfiction. I give more credit to the old EU books and games as being canon (in my head) than anything Disney has done (other than Mando, Rogue One, and SOLO).

Something I've always wondered about is the feet on the AT-AT. Seems like a bad design to me. Wouldn't all the weight of the entire vehicle be dependent on those arches above the foot? Or moreso the crossbeam connecting the arch to the foot? I realize an arch is a very strong geometrical structure, but I'm assuming a Walker would weigh several hundred, if not thousands of tons. Seems odd that all that weight would have to depend on the strength of that little arch and crossbeam. And it doesn't look like that little piston on the side would add much support.
Thoughts?

You, know I've never thought about it. I mean in reality the AT-AT is kinda a ridiculous impractical design, if you really start to examine it. I'm not sure how you would design a foot that can have pivot axis.

A few days ago, YouTuber EC Henry posted a video on his channel in which he believes he found the long looked for but never been found shoe easter egg, hidden in the background in the Space Battle of Endor.
Although I won't deny that he actually found something that looks like a shoe of some kind, I have my doubt that it is the shoe that special effects supervisor Ken Ralston spoke of. He said it was a tennis shoe. The object EC Henry found looks more like a slipper.

Coincidentally, I was watching an infamous fan scan from an original theatrical ROTJ print a few days ago, and my eyes spotted something. And after a little more research, I think I did find out why the fans couldn't find this easter egg in all these years: simply because the object has been edited out with the Special Editions, and so it can't be seen in all home media releases from there on.

I made a quick video to show you what I pointed out. I know it is April 1st, but this isn't meant to be a joke.

I know some members here are working in the industry, and maybe maybe maybe one of them has contact to Ken Ralston and could ask him, if it is the infamous tennis shoe easter egg.

The edits are amazing. But it can't change the story. Those two lackluster duels sucks so much of emotional impact from the duels in ROTS and ANH.

It's just more stuff from the Disney era that would need to be retconned to make SW healthy again.

The problem is that I doubt most of it ever will be retconned. Even if Disney sells off the franchise.

Holy hilarity…

'Star Wars' gets 3 new movies, Daisy Ridley's Rey to return as Jedi master

Jedi Master Palpatine is coming back.

“Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel) will direct Ridley, whose character will come back to the big screen now as a Jedi master in a film set 15 years after the events of Rise of Skywalker. It'll be "set in a Jedi academy with a power Jedi master," Obaid-Chinoy said on stage, referring to Rey, whose mission will be to rebuild the Jedi Order.”

Let’s see if all of this eventually ends up in the Canceled Star Wars bin…

I see that Stephen Knight, who wrote & created PEAKY BLINDERS is writing the script. That could be a bright point, as I've liked his stuff.

Man as much I like(or liked) the Sequels. Calling this new era "The New Jedi" order.... Ouch that burns.

I think I'll stick to the originals.

That is so true. It's really sad. Kids are going to grow up with bastardized versions of the EU characters, and stories.

They probably wouldn't give those books the time of day anyway. Even the few good ones. And lets get real, there were very few of those. Even the other Zahn novels were not as good as the first 3. Its better to have some of these characters and other story elements in the canon where different storytellers can use them than to just leave them in now irrelevant stories. We were never going to get them otherwise and I'm happy we are now.
