Could have been a pacing issue and the Emperor was already sold as a bad guy. Didnt need to beat a dead horse. Would have been nice if we had an "extended edition" like the LotR movies then lol.Ian McDiarmid is incredible! Hearing his voice on set and the darkened shot of his face (while likely just underexposed and deteriorated by time) is truly terrifying. I wish they'd left in the subplot that the Emperor was willing to blow up his own troops to stop the Rebels.
Funnily enough, more character development in those short panels than Disney provided in three movies.
From that angle it looks very well done!
I believe it was sculpted and molded, fiberglassed. I think all his armor was.A little off topic (as if there is anything on topic in here) but I’m currently building an EVA foam version of Fett’s backpack for a friend who is going to Celebration as Cobb Vanth and it has me wondering, does anyone know how the original was made for ESB? Was it sculpted and then molded, bashed together from random scrap? There are some weirdo angles and shapes on this thing and I really wonder how they did it.
It makes sense, it has that organic feel that a lot of the sculpted props from the OT have. EVA foam is a lot less organic and I’ve ripped this thing apart like 3 times trying to get some of the angles rightI believe it was sculpted and molded, fiberglassed. I think all his armor was.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
