I'm trying to dealing with facts, what we know for sure. That's why I try to always say these days I try to always say 'so and so claims', because nothing lines up.
I think you lose a bit of objectivity when in your previous post, you list a plethora of individuals that worked on the ST, including actors, writers, directors, & producers, quote what they said chapter & verse, detail why they were wrong/misinformed/etc.

Then you get to what Rian said, & simply say that you believe him.

IDC really either way, & I agree with Some of your opinions & sentiments about the ST, but your arguments come across as one sided time after time.

Let's be clear here, you have a set position that will not be moved or swayed even a millimetre towards another, which is of course your prerogative.

The only "facts" we know are from individuals whose memories may be faulty, and who will have far different recollections of the same events from others who were present at the same time.

It's become tiresome for a lot of members who posted in this thread to have any and all of their comments, arguments and evidence they use to back up their thoughts (much like the Marvel plan comparison) summarily dismissed out of hand in a manner that is frankly rude in the opinion of some of them.

Case in point was the meme comment earlier...

The simple fact is that, this debate was done to death in 2017/18, regardless of what comes out in public in the future.

Abrams didn't flat out use the words "there was no plan for the ST," however he certainly strongly suggested it. Based on the context answering the question posed the way he did it can easily be inferred that he was referring to the ST. It's really going to be a tough sell to convince people he was actually just talking about his television work or another film.

Collider/media seem to be baiting fans with this story and will probably end up chastising people for being "toxic" again in a week.

I mean Threepio was programed so that he could impersonate a deity..... And he was in the service of two senators. I imagine his programing would have had to been up to date on the the Old Republic laws.

Side note. I wanna know what happened that got it so protocol droids needed to programed to not impersonate deities. Lol  There's gotta be a good story in there.

And Kylo Ren. For someone who claims to want to kill the past, he sure emulates it. Having just killed his master and now wanting an apprentice....like the rule of two....

Just got to face it my friend, JoeK3rr has decreed we're all wrong....
Yeah Im just going to put the fact that Michael Ardnt’s “treatments” were rejected like George Lucas and his scripts for 7 were vastly different from Abrams’ (nevermind he also had several ideas and the treatments were rough outlines at best).

I agree Collider came with an agenda by asking a loaded question. I think we just need to wait a couple more years until Kennedy retires and sells her tell-all book lol.

Was this one posted?

I've actually watched that one multiple times over the last year. The reason why I will never need (and still don't want) to bother to watch the Rise of the Skywalker are because of analysis vids like this. Youtuber MauLer has epic multi-hour breakdown series of all three of the sequel trilogy movies done in the same hilarious vein as this vid.

EDIT: Just wanted to add sources are now reporting that Disney Star Wars has actually cost Disney 30 million in deficit as opposed to profit on their investment.
Much of that cost attributed to Kathleen Kennedy constantly having creative differences with Director's who she fired but still got paid, as well as her extensive re-shooting agenda on Solo and the sequel trilogy.

I haven't seen Rise of Skywalker, either.
Not even remotely interested.
There are 2 great Star Wars movies, 1 good one, and more drek than I can be bothered to count.
Star Wars died in 1997.
I’ll go out on a limb and guess the three you’re acknowledging are the OT, but which ones are which.

That’s about what I figured. It’s unfortunate that Jedi falls short because it has some of my favorite world building and design, but the plot is a little cheap.
That's my issue with it, as well. Let's blow up the Death Star again... yay...
Plus Han Solo is a caricature.
But I do like the resolution of Luke and Vader. It's meaningful.

More untruths. George didn't write any scripts. He obviously had other ideas, for the ST, as seen in the "Star Wars Archives: Prequel Trilogy", but they weren't scripts. Lawrence Kasdan, calls them notes.

Secondly, the treatment that was publicly sold, by George, is one and the same as Michael Ardnt's treatment. It's not two different things.

Thirdly, the 40 to 50 page treatment that was written by Michael Ardnt with George Lucas, wasn't "rejected." It certainly, through the course of development began to depart of the original concept, to a degree. But that's pretty much standard fare with the development of any film. Look how different the original film from the initial concepts. (And I'm gonna plug The Star Wars comic, if you haven't read it. It's awesome look at what we could have gotten.) So Michael Ardnt turns the treatment shortly after the sale. Then immediately begins working on episode 7. He will write until late October 2013, assisted by Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg. Unable to meet the deadline, he bows out. With JJ Abrams taking over script writing duties. However he seems to remain as a consultant.

By the time he leaves a fair bit of the story beats were already written. By April Starkilller base is there.

This one from August.

And in October, there's the attack on the Jakku village.

This is just a sampling to give you an idea of where the story was before Michael Ardnt left. So any major change would have been of his doing.
