I am a big fan too. I've been following Retroblasting for a few years now.

I love Return of the Jedi. I just find it fascinating to see what might have been. I've always meant to check out THE Star Wars comic. I may have to do that. I know some fans made a trailer based on the McQuarrie Art that looked fantastic! Very much in the vein of The Star Wars comic.

One of the things I find so interesting too is the behind the scenes of how the story developed. From the production down to the filming.

Inquisitor Peregrinus also has some really cool ideas on how he would have structured the saga!

i am such a early Kurtz fan... always was... until he started this crap with selling fake screen used lightsabers...pathetic move. but i have always said, he was the reason for star wars and empires success. and ill stand behind that

The timeline is actually very simple and straightforward. I’d suggest anyone having trouble with it stick to the Twilight movies.

Everything thing Star Wars including the Holiday Special was better than anything Twilight. But I must admit that I’m only guessing as I would not be caught dead watching a Twilight movie. But glad it worked out for you.

More to the original point, it is a messy time line for people unfamiliar with the franchise. Prequels and in-between-quels being shoehorned into an established story tend to do that.
Suggesting new comers to DSW that might find it confusing are somehow better suited to the simplicity of the Twilight series is rather dismissive of new fans (seems counter productive if you want DSW to be successful) and insulting to them.

Sounds like you are the one who is dismissive if you really believe new fans are going to be confused by a very simple timeline. I have more faith in newcomers attracted to Star Wars. I believe they will be open and optimistic unlike the small group of so called “fans” that are bitter and pessimistic because they didn’t get a old EU book like the Crystal Star made into a movie. Or because Lucasfilm didn’t listen to the brainchilds on the internet that know better but somehow have no life.

That... and your own conflicting statement says more about you than it does about Star Wars.
