I've always wondered what 271 was. Han says "Chewie, set 271" before flying into the asteroid field. Leia instantly reacts as if 271 is some crazy maneuver. Does it mean "Fly into an asteroid field, fly into something extremely dangerous, take a left turn" or what?

It means glide gently to the left.

Han and Leia on that comic cover look to me like Battfleck and Harley Quinn cosplaying as Han and Leia...which is, admittedly, kind of an interesting story idea.

Clearly the artist never saw Star Wars. He drew off what someone described, not what he saw.

I love the hoojibs. I want Plif to be worked into the canon somehow. About the only decent artist on the run was Gene Day, and he still fell victim to the lackadaisical standards of the late '70s/early '80s.
