Wait what?

Originally Anakin was to walk in on Mace and Palpatine's confrontation. I believe Palpatine was to loose his lightsaber, then Anakin tosses him his lightsaber. You can still see some shots where Ian is holding the "Skinnyflex" stunt saber.

Correct, you can actually still see the actor using Anakins hilt vs windu

I have heard 2 stories

1. Originally palp’s was going to be disarmed and he pulled anakins lightsaber and used it Vs windu. But later changed it so anakin arrives later

2. Sidious stunt saber is too small for the actor to duel with.. can’t keep two hands on it because it’s so small.. and had a hard time spinning it around

there is a few times you see it clearly

i believe he is using the “spin flex”

Something that popped into my head today, when Obi-Wan and Yoda sneak back into the Jedi Temple after Order 66, did he record a message in his voice, or just a general warning to stay away from the temple and go into hiding? I don't think I've ever seen anything that tells exactly what the message was beyond that or if it included any other info. You'd think he would have it say to go into hiding and that the Sith are in control. Most of the old EU had characters find out about the Sith, but apparently not from that. I don't remember if even the Rebels characters knew about the Sith until they encountered Vader. Obviosly Ahsoka sensed that it was Anakin, so she knew, but I'm guessing that info wasn't broadcast with his signal.

He manipulated the Senate through the Dark Side and declared himself Emperor. Plus, General Anakin Skywalker has become his apprentice, now called Darth Vader. So if you hear about someone mentioning Sidious or Vader, that's who they're talking about."

Hasbro's first Palpatine figure from Revenge of the Sith had blue lightsaber. As we know Palpatine was originally meant to use Anakin's lightsaber.

There's also a scene on Mustafar where Obi-Wan and Anakin clearly trade lightsabers. Watch when Anakin is choking Obi-Wan on the table.

Leaving that message wasn't fun. I know some mystery is fun for the audience, but after 10,000 of your friends were murdered, and you know how and why and who did it, that seems like pretty vital information to share.

What's worse is the close up shot where they paint the blade partially over the emitter to try and hide the fact. But you can see the "bunny ears" sticking out behind the blade!

Didn't Obi-Wan record the message before he knew that Anakin was Vader? On the way out of the Temple he stopped to look at the security hologram and then he discovered the truth about the Sith.

Right. He knows Anakin fell to the Dark Side obviously, but I'm not sure he knows that he's Darth Vader. I think he knows that Anakin is called Darth Vader though, I'm not sure. I say that because I remember a part in the Rise of Darth Vader book (yes I know it's not canon) where Obi-Wan is at a bar on Tatooine and he hears a news report mention Darth Vader and that's how he learns he's still alive.
