You sort of answered your own question but don’t really understand it. Obi or Yoda probably did tell Luke but at that point Luke didn’t care. He didn’t think he was out of harms way when he tossed his saber, he was making a statement. The same way the good guy in a western or a crime drama drops his weapon because the bad guy is trying to get them to do their bidding even though the bad guy still has theirs weapon.
Yoda not explaining the Force lightning to Luke is not a quibble I have with ROTJ. I was merely addressing my perspective on the subject with regards to the minor continuity issue and I agree with your statement on it. Though I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say I don't understand the question. I think we're both on the same page here.
You are aware that Luke trained with Yoda for 6 months so he covered more than what we saw.Maybe he did. I'm not stressing it as being a deal breaker though.
So, you are saying it took six months for the Falcon to reach Cloud City?
And they are still wearing the same clothes?......
Realistically that would be millions of lightyears.Yes. Hoth and Bespin are nearby systems but with sub light engines, it’s going to take a while.
Han and Chewie live on the ship, I am sure there is some type of laundry refresher unit they can use sanitize their clothing.
Millions of light years would be a galaxy apart. Realistically Bespin and Hoth would have to be less than 1 light year apart.Realistically that would be millions of lightyears.
That's precisely why I put quotes on the word "twist".But that aspect was never meant to be a surprise. Just like no one was surprised that Anakin turned to the dark side and became Vader. It like going to a Superman movie and being upset that you knew Clark Kent was really Superman from the start of the movie. The story is about how those things came to be.
A twist would have been if Palpatine and Sidious were two separate people.

I wonder if Filoni would do something like make their species a physical manifestation of the Whills. Maybe every so often one of them is born and that’s why there are so few.
