Face off season 4

Believe it or not, they actually are doing the work. It's difficult for someone who doesn't know the process to follow, but I can tell exactly who's doing what and why. Now, I'll grant you that many make pretty severe manufacturing mistakes. I was especially not a fan of either Glass Man or the Ice King, just because of the manufacturing failures. But they are working.

I'm sure they are doing the work, I just wish they would show more of it. Maybe because I have watched "This Old House" for half my life I want to see more of "We need to do 'X' or else 'Y' will happen. Here is how we do it....". I do not care about drama, I just want to see the work getting done and more than a ten second voice over on how the mold for the prosthetics are made.. I guess that is what YouTube is for.

As for Eric F., my main issue is his appearance. The old, "you only get one chance to make a first impression." That is why I always call him Zorg when I see him on the show. I do not remember what Wolverine's real name was.

I'm just wondering when they're gonna do a challenge where Zorg DOESN'T turn his character into a horror piece. He's completely painted himself into a corner at this point.

Great, now I get to listen to Autumn's voice and redhead chick complain about her hand and blame it for sucking for another week.

Well, I'm a lot happier with most of the looks we saw this week. I definitely think Kris deserved the win though I would've been happy with Alam's creepy wax-figurine-looking creation taking the prize as well.

Jenna and Autumn better be thanking their lucky stars that they're still there.

Houses was real impressive, but it was mostly the models' belly dancing that sold it. They mentioned Houses' arms lacked paint. That was the result of the sleeves rolling down over time. I am sure House figured, "Why paint the arms when they are covered."

Zorg did really impressive work. If you consider that he did not dress/ hide any aspect of the character under clothing. Great fx element with the mouth puppeting idea. He was able to skip a bit of painting with the gummi bear gel over the character. He also had the character on the ground so no legs to cover. I think that was the time managment he was reffering to coming into play.

haha ..thanks for the identify Guys. Lflank ..of course ive seen your films ..im a fan of yours from the Lair. Ive got a bunch of friends from past seasons ..and there are a couple of people from this season who i think do nice work. Ya ..i have a little inside info, but nothing monumental ..most of what happens as far as the programming is fairly predictable. I have many friends from different parts of the "Reality" show universe ..not much is real at all ..but honestly thats expected ..we dont watch TV for real life ..we watch it to escape it.

I liked houses belly design, it was really cool but the face makeup was very.....meh. Kris's was really cool and reminded me of the Baraka makeup from the Mortal Kombat short film they made before that online web series.

I'm actually really surprised that Anthony didn't even make it into top looks. Perhaps he played it safe this week? Or the judges were getting pressure not to have him in top looks?

I guess the show doesn't want the viewer to get tired of seeing Anthony win everything,
They barely showed anything from him, we didn't even get to see the judges comment his work on the close up look.

While better than last episode the products still looked very weak.

I like the show, but don't understand on a reality competition show why we don't get to see the actual work so much. They show us in depth on a few then skim through the rest. I think the production is rather poor, but love seeing artists try to do work...

I was thinking that as well. Every time they show him he's got
that: "what kind of zombie can I do this time" look.

Anthony's work still is the best. I found his to be so clean and the staff that helped him really did a great job on the outfit. The damn dummy bear was the worse and should have gone home.

Kris's character looked like Peloquin from Nightbreed.

Honestly Bottom (heh get it? Autumn/Bottom because she sucks) or Blame it on the hands should of gone home.

I can understand why the judges had a problem with blondies makeup because she barely did anything but in the past her stuff wasn't bad. The other two's work has been consistently poor. This week, bottoms gummi bear was TERRIBLE. I'm on a group on Facebook that she posts in and she was saying how all the polyfoam was wasted and she wasn't able to do a chest piece almost as if it would of saved that garbage. It looks NOTHING like a bear, it was just one solid green paint job, it was horrendous. Even at the end you could see the makeup tearing away just under the neck.

Blame it on the hands was just one solid thing of grey. Poorly sculpted, poorly painted, etc.

This season definitely rings of Amateur hour.

I loved how when Gummi walked up to get judged with her model. She trided to push a loose part of the chest back on.:lol

When the camera was up close while they were drawing we got to see a bit of some the contestants' sketche books. Not just the shows' artist renders. Anthony can draw pretty good.

Exact thought I had when they were safe for the week. :facepalm

Whats wrong with doing monsters? I thought all his stuff as looked pretty solid so far, when he's on his own team. You want him to do something cutesy? You think a man with that style of hair can?

I did not like the Asian style eyes on the Katie Perry candy bra character. Was it the eyelashes that didn't make it look like eyes? I did like the shape of its face since it had a clean pointy chin and looked doll likish.

I think what annoys me the most about the show is the constant waste of time. They recap what happened last episode, what happened before commercials, what's GOING to happen after commercials, re-introducing the judges every frelling week and constant "pause for tension" moments leave me screaming at the screen to "GET ON WITH IT"! They could easily show more of the actual work. I want to know who thinks this style of editing honestly makes the show better? I already watch it without commercials and find myself fast forwarding repetative parts of it. :angry

That drives me nuts, too...
"Last week on ___" is fair enough, I guess, but "Earlier in this show"? No need.
And "Coming up in this show... THAT YOU ARE CLEARLY ALREADY WATCHING!"

Just NO! CUT IT OUT, US TV!

It's starting to creep into shows over here, too, and it's just stupid.
