Face off season 4

I ws hoping numb-nuts was going to do the stand-up thing and just ask to be eliminated, in case there was any confusion. If the judges had eliminated the other one, I'd probably just delete the show from my DVR schedule.

Now, I generally don't get emotionally involved in any TV show, but when she said being paired up with Anthony was like being on vacation, I wanted to slap her into next week. She has brought down every team competition she was a part of.

I hope Anthony was watching last night's episode, hunted her down, and just punched her in the mouth :behave.

-Fred

Considering how she specifically singled Anthony out in previous episodes as an opponent, I wonder if they were hoping for more conflict between the 2. I know in the past, the judges have mentioned how important teamwork is. I didn't like the fact that when she left for a quick break and literally told Anthony to look over her sculpt, then she comes back and says something to the effect "Gone a few minutes and come back and everything's changed" .... I don't think Anthony wanted to get "punched in the face with how horrible it looked" :p

Right now Anthony is staying WELL above the water while the rest of the group get weeded out with the crap their producing. I think he might have gotten a little gun shy from the incident with his superhero's chest mold not coming out, so he's playing it safe, pacing himself, and not trying anything too risky for fear it might not turn out again. Risks can pay off like it did for Eric, but they can really hurt you if you can't get everything done, and you turn out a big steamy pile for the judges......

I'm not sure if the audience has gotten it beaten in their heads enough about how numb Jenna's hands are.

I do feel bad that she seems to be cursed with that horrible condition, but I'm also getting really tired of all the complaining. We get it... Your hand is numb.

ha ..in fairness to Jenna ..if you complain about your hand five times over the course of three 8 hour days ..then show all five of those complaints in a single one hour episode littered with commercials and overly expository segments explaining what a mold is, you will look like a major complainer. They had MONTHS to edit this any way they wanted ..so in all fairness, the producers decided to portray her that way to the audience ..AND ..they are the ones that cast her. I guess we cant complain too much when we are drinking the Kool-Aid . ( also ..once again ..they didnt run their own foam ..they get what they get ..its part of the deal ..remember Conner's void in the Frog Prince on season 1 ?)

You constantly saying they don't run there own foam is nullified when you actually watch someone run there own foam. I'm sure some of the slacker teams don't, due to time constraints, but I've watched the top tier of artists mixing and pouring and running the molds.

Where on the show do you see them running foam in a foam room? What you are seeing is panting in latex and mixing and pouring polyfoam ..something much different then mixing foam latex. ( trust me ..there is a big difference and if you saw them doing it on the show, you would know). Nullified? brother ..not only do I have old contestants that work for me.. i know the techs that are hired to run the foam pieces. Do you know how boring it would be to televise foam running? What you are seeing is contestants returning the next morning to already made foam latex pieces. Slacker teams? so explain this one? the slacker team last week who lost, ( and hindered in the time management department due to an injured team member) had a foam latex cowl that hadnt cured properly so they decided to stick it on the belly. They were not a "top tier" team. You saw them demolding, but never enter a foam room, properly mix every component of foam latex and place into an oven ( which, by the way would have to be turned off at some point..how are you going to do that when you are sequestered in a hollywood hills house?) So ya ..they dont run their own foam.

Its a bummer I just stumbled onto this thread, but to me, this season, there is only one guy that should win, and its Anthony, like all of you have mentioned. I get let down sometimes because the challenges are so awesome, but then the teams blow it. Like the super hero one for example. They had Jim Lee there to help em out with a bunch of other DC artists, and ALL of the heros sucked. Couldnt beleive it. As most of you said, I like to watch it for the process vs the stupid drama, but I dont think its as bad as all of you say. I still really love the show, and look forward to Tuesdays because of it.

After two or so seasons you will start to understand our complaints. I mean, a large portion of this website is dedicated to making stuff.

I have a question for those in the industry: How do the deadlines on the show compare to real deadlines? I feel like this has been answered before, but I don't remember the answer.

they dont compare. Three days? they are completely unrealistic for the quality that it would need to be on set. Including hero and stunt versions etc. The problem is that some jerk off producers actually watch the show and think that quality work can not only be done that fast but on the cheap too. There are many reasons why the show is actually hurting the industry rather then helping it these days

I was having a good laugh at Autumns denial when she said that she would work on the costume and Anthony would paint because he's terrified of sewing.

I think this show could really shine if they gave them some "reasonable" deadlines. Three days just does not cut it. I understand that kind of pressure creates better drama for tv but it really makes for some crappy make ups. The entire time I have been watching this show I have only seen a few that actually looked camera ready. 95% of all of it just looks like cheaply made fan stuff and halloween junk.

I say give them an entire week or even two!.. Have no clock that makes them have to stop for the day--if they want to work all night, let 'em! I have no doubt most of these people could do some nice stuff if given a reasonable amount of time to work with. But because of the drama factor 95% of it is just absolute garbage!!

It's a competition how so that is why they have these guidelines in place.

Although, I do agree with you. I'd like to see more time given and try and make something worth while from it.

Another so so episode. I was surprised they put Anthony in the bottom
this week. His looked better than most as usual. Not top looks but I don't
think he should have been in the bottom. but hey, he made it.

It was unfortunate that they basically rated Anthony against himself, they told him it was the worst "he's" done, but considering the rest, certainly not the worst that was done that night. I will say, there were others that were much better, so, at least he's still in the running.

He's got to shake this one off and go in with both barrels blazing next time.

When Anthony said he'd do better next week and Herrick said "if there's a next week" and you could quite literally see him go *gulp*......I was killing myself laughing.

I'm glad to see Alam go home but I'm pissed that I have to listen to Autumn for another week.

Her time will come.

I kind of liked Alam, but you could see the unpainted underside of that tail just instantly drew your eye and was, ultimately, the kiss of death for her.
