Face off season 4

It's really too bad that these weird things are happening as this show really does have potential. Then again it is on SyFy and they would rather show wrestling than a good sci fi show such as Blood and Chrome. Argh...

I wonder how serious DC is taking the "featuring the winner in a DC Comic" prize. I'm guessing they'll have a few panels of the character in some random battle and use him as some cannon fodder and kill him off in the issue. :lol

I think it translates pretty well. I'm glad to see that they actually gave him more than a panel or two. Far better than what the season 1 winner of Who Wants to be A Superhero got where they just shoehorned him into the last 30 seconds of one of their stupid giant snake movies.

Just finished watching this week episode. Most of the makeups were just utter ****. Normally when I watch this show, seeing some of the WIP makeups makes me excited to see the final result. This week I actually dreaded seeing them. I swear Anthony is gonna be the Connor of this season. He'll kick everyone's ass. I also have to agree with Ve that he killed the magma skin. I really wish he could of kept the chest piece. I wonder if they'll use the chest piece or that chest armour for the comic.

I'm kinda surprised that the one chick who made silver light or whatever it was made it through unscathed. It literally looked like a Gay Pride Parade Hawkgirl.

Chubby wolverine definitely deserved to go home. Even though Alam had the entire back piece missing, at least she sculpted something.

$5 says the goth weirdo is going to make every single one of his foundation and main challenge makeups horror based. He won't think outside his box once.

Wow, I just watched this episode yesterday. Those were the worst! Every single one of them was absolute crap!!

Man, with the exception of Anthony, and House, that episode was completely devoid of any talent. I'm just curious if anyone on that show has ever heard of fiberglass for a mold making material. That would've really helped out Anthony.

to answer a few of the questions that i saw. Yes some of the past contestants work in the industry ..of course most of those actually worked in the industry before they were on ( In some cases, they even worked for their "Judges") Patrick was filming the sequel to 300 during season 3 AND 4 ( they were shot back to back..season four was taped long ago) He was not an original judge even on season one ..he replaced someone else before taping began. You dont see the whole process because the contestants dont actually partake of the whole process. All molds are run by techs at the end of the day. Costumes are not fabricated by them ..and all the concept art you see are by the same hand. oh .and dont worry .. The Judges didnt really decide who stayed and went ..just like America didnt ( producers wont trust ratings surges to anyone else)

I quickly came to suspect that, like every "reality" show, every second we see is staged, and the whole show (including the winners) is pre-decided before they shoot a single frame.

This last episode was embarrassing. I literally felt flush from shame when the girl came up with the freedom fighter or twin towers man or whatever it was. Really having the twin towers duct taped to your forearms was a good idea? :facepalm

keep your eye on Wayne Anderson

Edit so i don't spoil it for everyone else.

Am i the only one wondering why the guy who couldn't get his chest mold apart didn't get a hammer and bust up the mold to try to salvage it? I can't see myself just walking away like that without giving the shell a couple wacks of the hammer.

Oh ..im not saying that i know he is a winner... just keep an eye on him ..he is coming off in the early episodes as sort of in the middle .i have a strong feeling he is cast as a contender. There are some things I absolutely know about this show ..some are just rumors ..although I sit fairly close to that rumor mill.

When will Anthony fall out of favor with the judges?

Probably when everyone else steps up and stops producing crap.

Another episode where everyone (Except Anthony) has produced utter
garbage. Every one of the finished make up's we god aweful.

I hope this show improves in quality soon. Worst cast they have had yet.

They need to stop digging up these gothic looking people too. Not everyone
in the industry can possibly look like this. :unsure

After a strong start the last 2 episodes have been really embarrassing.
In my opinion this is the worst casting we've ever seen talent-wise.

They also should stop with the last minute twists, when you have such weak contestants it's just a recipe for disaster.

I think they should give them more time to work so we may have a chance to see more polished and good looking creations, with the current time frame a lot of the ending products look like amateur cr*p.

I am editing this out as i may be just making tea out of mud.

I find it interesting how seriously many people take this show when it's just a staged entertainment with no real "judges" and not even really a "contest".

A commentary on our TV-based culture and the blurry line between reality and non-reality.

well someone does win money ( before taxes) a car and a "chance" to guest lecture. they also get to hit as many conventions until the next season or two roll out and people forget they were on a show. Unfortunate ..but true.

Im just saying the formulaic casting of the past two seasons is becoming obvious. Just as the way the show is being presented is formulaic. look for the sound bit in the preview of someone saying "i think Im going home" ..then bet money on them staying ..because they are. there will always be someone with a stuck mold, a disease, etc. and they will edit the same every season .. ( remembered this show was shot MONTHS ago ..they have plenty of time to edit it any way they want)
