eFX - BO-KATAN KRYZE HELMET - LEGEND EDITION

Factory entertainment went through this with their hand held TNG cricket phasers. The plastic wrap was placed on the presentation boxes before they were cured or they were dry. They told every one to keep the damaged boxes and they would send new boxes. What I received were replacements that were repainted. The flawed boxes I gave away on here for shipping. I too am in the wait for my helmet paid in full from Sideshow. Now that the errors are popping up I anticipate there will be repaints in the future. There is no way they have enough replacements to satisfy these paint errors.

I guess they realized the issue with the plastic while the helmets were still being produced if they already have ones without the plastic. Maybe they produced more to allow for replacements of the ones with plastic.

Pushed back to July-August by Sideshow.

Anyone else get the feeling EFX is very quickly and quietly trying to repair helmets damaged by the plastic wrapping? Obviously it is the correct thing to do, but would be cool if they were more transparent about it.

Yep and it was a good business decision based upon the paint quality issues on this “Legend” edition

They may not have had a choice if they had to replace more than they had extras available. If they are repairing helmets that had issues, hopefully the texture from the peeled off paint isn't an issue.

Just to clarify my post, I have absolutely no issue with them repairing the damaged helmets. Personally I plan to repaint mine anyways so the paint damage wouldn’t matter either way.

All I’m really trying to say is a post from EFX acknowledging the issue and giving an updated estimate for delivery would be nice.

I agree efx should post an update explaining the issue, approximately how many helmets were affected, and the resolution. Not knowing the details causes lots of speculation and unnecessary concern. The last update on the efx website was June 4th. When there is this much negative reaction to a product (which was deserved), the company should post information about the issue and what they are doing to resolve it.

They must have found out while helmets were still being packed since they stopped using the plastic at some point.

This is a case where it might be better to not be among the earliest to receive the item.

They probably won’t want to advertise the fact that there are damaged helmets out there. I’ve seen a couple of FB posts where people are praising the helmet that actually has the damage.
If people aren’t aware of the problem and are unknowingly happy with what they have, efx won’t mind that.

Looks like they are arriving sooner than I had feared!

“Your Bo-Katan™ Helmet item will be arriving into our warehouse in a few days. Your final payment is scheduled for 07/03/2024. We expect the piece to ship within the next 10 business days. Please review your shipping information and make any changes through your online account by 07/02/2024.”

Yep I received the same message from Sideshow but it’s already paid in full…. Something tells me the plastic has been removed and that’s the extent of it. Hope I am wrong….

The same thing happened to me, the identical message arrived last night. Hope everything goes well :)

Or upon arrival to EFX they opened all the boxes to remove the wrap and then re-sealed

I would really hope they did, but so far Sideshow doesn't say they're aware of the issue or that they can guarantee that the helmets they ship out don't have the issue. I really hope we don't have to send it back to get it replaced...
