eFX - BO-KATAN KRYZE HELMET - LEGEND EDITION

I would really hope they did, but so far Sideshow doesn't say they're aware of the issue or that they can guarantee that the helmets they ship out don't have the issue. I really hope we don't have to send it back to get it replaced...
Time will tell

Got my helmet yesterday. Looks like I may have been spared the plastic imprints in the paint, although you could still very clearly smell the paint fumes…

Initial impressions - it’s beautiful. Paint job and weathering are fantastic. Inner liner looks greats, and I love the magnetic neck gasket feature.

Bad news is I originally purchased this for my wife’s Bo, but it’s too small for her. It’s a comparatively small helmet.

Still on the fence as to whether I keep it for the shelf or sell it…

I got my helmet in today, such a relief as it was originally planned for Monday and we were already hoping it wouldn't be late as we're not going to be here after Monday.

Second relief was the helmet is okay, no plastic film on it that could've damaged it. The only small thing was the magnet from the range finder side is loose, but that's a relatively easy fix. The paint job on the helmet is beautiful and the colors just seem spot on. It's really light and properly sized and just really feels like Bo's helmet.

The size seems spot on too! Being a relatively short (for National average's) costumer it's been a struggle for me to find an armored costume that I love and fits my height/shape. So I was really extremely happy that they cast Katee to play the character in Live Action as well, as she's my height and roughly the same size as me (slightly broader shoulders, but that's what shoulder padding is for) and that they added so many details on the costume, especially the soft parts.

I can't wait to upgrade and update my current Bo-katan kit with this helmet as it's just beautiful!

It's also incredibly small compared to my Chamanleon FX based helmet from Redman Studio Workshop, which always felt large to me.

Happy to report my helmet also arrived without any damage. I will leave the images below in “thumbnail” mode as I have no clue how to properly resize them for the forum, but here are some pretty HQ pics of my helmet. There are a few issues, most I’ve detailed in previous posts, but overall I am incredibly impressed and happy with helmet.

I don’t know when I’ll have the time (and courage!) to give it a repaint, but when I do I will share here.

If anyone wants to know how to remove the ears and range finder stalk, the metal “button” things in the middle of the ear cap comes off to expose a screw. I had to gently pull back the lining to get a socket on the nuts inside. The non-RF ear has a peg that is glued in place which you’ll have to break to remove, so be aware of that.

A quick wipe down with acetone or lacquer thinner will remove the paint from the stalk. No clue why they added that.

Thanks for figuring this one out! It quickly explains why the rangefinder is that wobbly with such a weak magnet. There does seem to be some paint on the stalk, just not nearly as much. I think there was a lot more paint on your rangefinder then mine.
One thing that's a bit meh is the edges off the inlays on the ear-caps are just very sharp and poorly finished. Still these are things that can be fixed with little effort.

Still really happy that I got this helmet and that it's in a good state :)

Received mine. It is exceptionally light weight and small in size but arrived in fine order. Mine was shipped in a poly bag as well. The finish and the interior are very nice and…. It’s a little stinky lol

Do you guys believe this are still 3d printed form efx or are they cast?

The main helmet and gasket are printed. Feels like they were printed in an industrial “tough” style resin instead of SLS nylon but it’s close enough. You can actually see the support scarring and the printing layer lines inside the helmet.

The did a very good job removing printlines from the exterior of the helmet. It honestly blows my mind how well they did this.

The ears, visor plate, and rf topper parts all seem to be cast.

Really great looking helmets. The question is only: How solid is the resinprint over the years?
