eFX Luke ROTJ Lightsaber Reveal Preorder Finally Coming Up

I Got mine today. Got #114. I am very upset withe Fed-Ex. They didn't even bother ringing the door bell. When I was going out the box was sitting right in front of the door and don't know how long it has been there. Someone could have easily walked away with it.

I totally agree with Stuntman Mike's review of the product. One other detail that I'm kind of disappointed in is, why did they mold the screws rather then using real screws? But as it has been mentioned not bad at all for what it cost. Overal I'm very happy to have this saber as an addition to my collection.

It's a little loosey goosey the top portion being the worst. Might find a fix eventually.
The pulsing crystal effect is nice.

I got number 413 today...I think such a high number because I only bought it off BBTS last week! : )

One question:

Does messing with the few exposed set screws do anything to tighten this up?

Also, wasn't going to say anything at first, but decided to go ahead. The tiny little "bracket" that holds the removable switchplate on mine fell right off. I'm blaming the midwest cold, but that was a shocker. 2 little dots of glue and it was fixed. But c'mon. And that part is plastic if anyone's wondering.

I monkeyed with the set screws on the midsection and they just made it harder to slide and will scrape the guide rails causing wear marks more as it would be metal on metal. So it's something to probably just leave be unless the set screws can be replaced with something soft. I think the nature of this prop is what it is. It's designed to come apart exposing inner goodies and a little looseness is just the price to pay for that. Given that, folks can be brilliant and may come up with some mods down the road to tighten it up.

Haven't tried it but what about removing the set screws comlpetely, putting in some sort of nylon insert and then replacing the screws.
Might allow for tightening without the scratching.

Anyone got any info on the tool Luke uses on the saber in the cut scene?

I thought it had been discussed but I did a search and could not find anything.

It would make a nice addition to the saber display.

I ordered a case from Acrylic Designs Inc. (Acrylic-Designs) in Arizona, they already have the measurements for the case since a Rebelscum member brought his in there,

should be coming in a week!

I also found that with a little careful placement, you can display the saber extended with no droop on the heavy end, otherwise I agree 100% with the reviews made, for some reason mine had its little brass knobs loose in the crystal chamber, but they weren't too hard to realign

Looks like either a compass or a tuning fork.

I also called Vicki at Acrylic Designs (800-209-4204). $50 + shipping and estimated shipping date is next week. Vicki hopes to get an account here to post pics and more info.

That's all I could get... But I am pretty sure that's a compass !
Maybe a photoshop guru could have a better result ... :unsure

Thanks for posting those.

I found this on Ebay. Not the one but kind of the same idea.

I've searched for Compass, Drafting Compass, Divider Caliper, etc.

FYI - received my case today from Acrylic Designs. Looks exactly like an MR case cover.

I love mine but my one complaint is I'm not crazy about the "copper" finish on the neck and box. I wish it had a better color. It's a little to light I think.

But I love it to death.

It's weird quoting myself.

I compared my Reveal to my non reveal and it's not the color so much as it is the shine. It would have looked a lot better in flat or satin.
