eFX Luke ROTJ Lightsaber Reveal Preorder Finally Coming Up

If any ordered from Secret Compass, they are now shipping too. All pre orders are now in stock and heading out the door! These appear to have turned out just as expected. I am pretty excited. This is the Luke ROTJ to have IMO. :love

Got # 74 in today. Love it and can't put it down. Just keep opening it and closing it. The sounds that comes from the metal are like music. haha

I have it displayed with my X-Wing right now until I can get a proper cover made. There was no way I could leave this one in the box any longer than it needed to be.

Hey gang !

Is there is some folks who ordered from redfordfilms ?
I still have any news from them .....

Redford Films and Cozmic Toyz both arranged for their customers' info to be forwarded to eFX so that eFX could ship direct to the customer.
Maybe some other retailers too but those two for sure.
Their customers' orders began shipping on 12/23 and it looks like the earliest ones touched down yesterday or the day before.

Ok, mine doesn't arrive until next Wed... I'll be a fun wait. :lol I have a question. when the saber is collapsed down, is it fairly tight or is it loose? I saw on the rebel scum board a few have discussed how theirs is loose. I'm not a poster their and wanted to see what you folks have experienced. I'm pretty excited about this and a little play in the pieces is ok,but hope it's not truly loose feeling when holding it in the closed position.

These weren't made with the same precision as the fan made ones that have been available here. These are mass produced and the fit/finish reflects that. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice saber and, for the money, I don't think we could have asked for much more. Here are my initial observations:

-Packaging is very nice. Very much reminiscent of Master Replicas (for obvious reasons)

-Display base and stand are very nice and well made. Acrylic cover would have been nice, but that has already been discussed.

-When the front portion of the saber is fully extended, it is loose and wobbly. Not terribly so. Given how it is constructed, this is understandable.

-Plastic switch to light up the crystal is loose, wobbly. The switch is actually a linkage to a smaller switch on the circuit board. This feels like a possible point of failure if not handled gently.

-Green crystal light is very bright and the pulsating effect is really cool.

-Black paint stripes on the control box cover are not applied evenly. The edges are not crisp. Least attractive part of mine so far.

-The locking mechanisms on all the moving portions have a very satisfying click and lock well.

-The saber is not rock solid when closed. There is some play. Again, understandable given the design.

The above are not meant as complaints, just observations. As previously stated, the saber is very nice. At this price point, I don't think we could expect more.

Received #54 this morning. Looks great and has a great feel but I'm a little disappointed in the droop when fully extended.

Anyone offering acrylic covers?

i got number 68 of 1000
seriously this thing is AWESOME! it is a little loose but who cares. its not like im gonna be carrying it around. im handling it like there are only 1000 of them made. ;)

Got #91 today. The saber looks nice, packaging is nice too. The wobbly front end is a bit annoying. It really does droop when fully open. Also there are some greeblies near the green crystal that were crooked on mine but straightened out when i pushed them down. They may not be glued in so be carefull not to loose them.
