The Stormtroopers are coming!

eFX this is a start with a distinct lack of imagination.

Master Replicas have just done the same prop. Is there really any need for a repeat performance of this film prop especially so close to the eventual release of the MR one?

You can redeem yourselves though give us a 'good' original trilogy Vader helmet or a Royal guard helmet :) If you are going to rehash old projects a ROTJ Fett helmet would be nice.

I for one will be ordering two helmets on the first day as well :angel

Good luck with future projects

Chris

I think the point in releasing this helmet was to fix the cockup they made at MR in not filling the orders they took back then.

If you order 2 on the first day, they will cancel both of them. You are only allowed to order one the first day and if they have any left on the 2nd day, you can order more.

Huh? How does an A New Hope: Darth Vader Helmet (Artists rendition McQ version), an A New Hope: Luke Skywalker Rebel X-Wing studio scale model, an A New Hope: Obi-Wan Kenobi Lightsaber (Cutaway view), an A New Hope: Symetrical Hero Stormtrooper Helmet, an Attack of the Clones: Clone Trooper Helmet, or a Clone Wars: Ahsoka Lightsaber show "a distinct lack of imagination." ???

None of these licensed props have ever been produced by Master Replicas? I think it shows incredible imagination - and to offer the Stormtrooper helmet to fans who missed out on MR's cut short run, an incredible gesture of good will.

I wouldn't go that far :lol i mean it is the same people offering the product they failed to deliver under the old banner.

Nice to see you back, Amy! :rolleyes

If I can ask, do you EVER have anything positive to say, about anything? At all? Ever? Just wondering.

Of course i do :lol I'm only stating a fact here eFX themselves have said they are releasing this helmet to make good the mess that was made of the MR release it's not a grand gesture.
They should have offered these helmets to those that placed orders with MR first not on the open market so those that did have orders before have to take pot luck again that they will get one.

The people who RUN efx are and were NONE of the people who ran or currently run Master Replicas - which is STILL in business, btw. Just because they happened to have worked there doesn't mean the efx principals were responsible for mistakes made at the executive level.

According to YOU it may not be a "grand gesture" - but to the rest of us, it sure is a hell of a way to generate some goodwill - especially among those of us who missed out on the MR run.

Well that's great you feel that way and are able to speak for everyone else :thumbsup
I'd rather speak for myself though if that's ok :thumbsup

I'm going to get this stormie helmet since I missed the MR one. Can't wait to get it :cool

I just use facts to form opinions. Since the original management team of Master Replicas is still in place at that company, I can't see how the actions of the efx team are anything but a way to help out those who might have missed out.

:thumbsup

Oh, and uh, if you had read Amy's first post in this thread, you'd have seen that people who got their order cancelled from MR have priority ordering, it is not “pot luck” like you said.

That's cool it's still the same factory producing them though which as i understand it is where the issue was with these helmets.
I just think it would have been better to offer those that never recieved the helmets they ordered the first option of purchasing.
And i don't see it as a big gesture is all i see it as using existing tooling to punt out a quick product.

If that were even remotely true (i.e. motivated only by pure profit), then why on Earth would they limit the run to ONLY 500 pieces? Why not make 2, 3, or 4 thousand. There's got to be a hell of a market for Stormtrooper helmets. They could have opened the gates and didn't. Again, a goodwill gesture to those who ordered something from a different company, but didn't receive what they wanted.

Well according to Jez's site the shortfall was around 1500 helmets so that's a good question why only a run of 500 ?
