eFX - BO-KATAN KRYZE HELMET - LEGEND EDITION

Is that an issue with the paint or the helmet texture. They said the helmet is 3d printed like the actual helmet, so if it is texture it could be lines from the 3d printing. The photo looks like glare seen at a certain angle, not paint that pealed off.
I sure hope these don't have visible layer lines. That'd be kind of worse than the paint issue. One is bad quality control early in the process and can be caught and the other is happening during shipping.

In my pics you can see the plastic wrap is wrinkled. The imprints on the paint match up with the plastic wrap. I found it hard to get a picture of them.

This doesn’t bother me so much because I will likely repaint mine anyways, but almost every copy I’ve seen so far has very crooked stencils. The real helmet master looks to have a very slight tilt, but the eFx helmets seem to exaggerate that.

Of course I am not perfect myself and some of my helmets were a little off before I starting using the correct printed stencil shell. It’s just one of those things where once you see it it’s quite hard to unsee, for me anyways.
Thats the same problem with the BS Bo Katan Helmets. But the BS is not a 800$ helmet.

Boba Flint, I wasn't questioning your photo. Yours obviously does show an issue with the paint. I was questioning the photo in Synz314's post. That looks like glare from texture, not paint that came off.

Came across photos of another helmet. Definitely a paint issue from the plastic wrapping.

I'm wondering if they wrapped them in the plastic too soon and the helmets were not completely dry or cured.

The number of helmets with problems is concerning. They may not have enough spares for all of the replacements.

Man…I was so excited for this piece but now I’m more fearful than anything…

Hoping Efx makes this right for their customers!

Oh no, please not this unnecessary crap again. Then I already know what I can expect when Sideshow delivers my Bo Katan helmet :cautious::((n)

Hey guys,

I received mine last Friday and just opened it for inspection today. I was absolutely dreading opening it after seeing the recent photos here of all the paint issues due to the plastic wrapping during shipping. It seems I lucked out for the most part - the mandibles, visor, ears, range finder, back vent, interior, stencil lines, and paint are about damned flawless. There is however faint lines on the right cheek near the top where you can see the plastic wrap was (see last photo). The plastic didn’t remove any paint as seen in some photos on this thread, but you can notice the lines…..but only barely in certain lighting. I think this is common even on the most perfect helmets. The videos on YouTube of this helmet have these plastic wrap lines but are hardly noticeable similar to mine. Even if I wanted to return it for another one, the likelihood of getting a more perfect one or a flawless one in general is slim to none. Overall, I’m extremely happy. This is unequivocally my favorite helmet. The paint job is phenomenal. I hope that all that received more damaged ones like in the previous posts have their helmets replaced and are happy.

Cheers!

It´s ok that you are happy with this flaws...but that is a premium replica with a premium price. And this should have no flaws good lights or not.
EFX should change their chinese factory.I remember what they did with the Mando Helmets with all the cracks and the bad painting on the PCR mandos also.
The helmets itself looks great from the design. Its really a shame.

If anyone wants to take a gamble on it, they are now listed as in stock on EFX's website.

BBTS has pre-order spots open again.

Yeah I’m not disputing that. They should be perfect, I agree. Due to the shipping situation it is what it is and my happiness is based on the fact that mine was overall close to perfect, given the situation. However, of course I’d be happier had it been without the faint lines. Tbh, I think they would have nailed it with these helmets had they not wrapped it with that plastic to hold the range finder. Hopefully it’s a lesson learned.
