I just bought some of the non-deluxe discs from the disney store to see if they will be just as easy to mod and all as the deluxe ones that are 20 bucks.

Is there any way of getting a hold of the Deluxe Instruction PDF? I bought a basic kit, but I'll be adding my own electronics, and I don't want to screw up the upgrade pieces. I sent you an email, but never got a response.
Also, will I still be able to cut those notches out on the top and bottom edges of the disc for illumination with the Basic outer ring? It doesn't look like there's enough material in the replacement ring to fill those in once they're cut.

I agree, i have been very patient with Soul. He is a god among men for making an awesome mod, and i appreciate the fact that he is pumping the orders out as fast as he can.
On that note please Soul if you read this take your time with week 6 orders so we dont have problems like the others (ie. C ring bubbles, missing instructions, etc.)

I don't think I'll be offering a kit for the blu-ray set. I just did it for fun. All you really need is a SMD strip and an A23 battery. Let me know if you have any questions on how to mod yours and I'll be happy to help out!

I've eliminated all of the major bubbles with my new casting technique. There are still tiny ones, but it's about as good as it's going to get. As for the instructions, let me reiterate, they will NOT be shipped out with the kit. I'm sending them as a 10mb pdf via email once orders are shipped. Some people are having problems receiving the email due to the large size, or miss it in their spam filter. If you do not get an email from me containing the instructions within 2 days of your paypal shipping notice, let me know and I'll resend.

Flux, the Basic Discs are easy to mod with ELWire and an inverter on the underside of the disc. You can find some examples people made in the RPF thread about TRON:Legacy costume planning (page 90-100 if I recall). One of the members had made two Rinzler styled Basic Discs with just ELWire and it was 'ok' in lit setting, 'kewl' in the dark.
For an example, this is the 'Basic Disc' with ELWire look:
vs a SoulInertia 'Deluxe Disc' Full Mod Kit:
As you see.. it can be done, but it's NO CONTEST.
