Comic Con 2013

Overflow page says there's likely no more available. :( My alarm didn't go off this morning and I was 15 minutes late to the waiting room. Less than 15 minutes and they're all gone?

Pretty much what I expected, still feels lousy though. :behave :lol
First chance I've had to go since I was 14, and it looks like I can't make it because of a faulty alarm clock. *Sigh*

Glad you got your badges!

San Diego Comic-con online EPIC REGISTRATION is an EPIC FAIL. The best part of buying for next year was waiting on line for hours or even almost a day. The online preregistration system has taken an arduous, physically taxing but a great communal bonding event and turned it into a cold impersonal and frustrating moment that lasts about an hour or less. Managed to get Thursday and Sunday passes. I'm going to refund one of those days and just do a speed route thru the exhibition hall. Good luck to those who got in today and those who will attempt to get registered in the future.

If that's even a remote possibility I'd also like to extend a similar offer. Any one-day passes that are still available (for any of the days) would be acceptable and amazing. I only need one ticket, just wanted to be able to go. I have paypal funds ready for anything up to a 4-day pass with preview night.

Cheers. A thousand thanks if it's possible and sincere understanding if it's not.

My wife was number 32000 and we finally got in at about 9:40. She first clicked in at 9am. She refreshed at about 9:10 when she was 1st kicked out.
I tried on an Ipad and got nowhere.

I just got (2) 4-day passes!!!!

Impressive. The force is strong with you!

I tried at 9am sharp and got nowhere fast. :thumbsdown

Luckily, a friend purchased a 4 day badge for me, so Brad I'll see you at San Diego. :)

Next hurdle...... hotel :facepalm

I managed to grab Friday passes for my girlfriend, sister, and I!

My rough experience: Got up early for coffee and to make sure both my computers and browsers were set, with text files with the info on standby. At precisely 9:00:01, I pressed the green 'register' button on Safari (laptop), waited a few seconds, then clicked the button on Firefox (laptop), and waited 10 more seconds, and clicked it again on Internet Explorer (desktop).
Well safari gave me a white screen (though the top of the browser said I was in the waiting room), but never loaded a single thing. The Firefox window started loading, but the page never changed (as what happened to El Fett ^ ). Internet Explorer (the black sheep of my browsers,) also went to a white screen and did nothing.
After about 3 or 4 minutes, I decided to copy/paste the url IE was loading into another IE window, and voila, I was in the waiting room at #35244. o_O I tried to do the same with my other browsers on my laptop, but nothing happened, and did it a few minutes later and it said the waiting room was full. The IE page refreshed about every 300 seconds :p but eventually I was able to purchase passes after about 20 minutes, thank God. I even accidentally refreshed the page once, and a message in big red letters popped up saying 'DO NOT REFRESH THE PAGE MANUALLY AGAIN, OR YOU WILL BE SENT TO THE BACK OF THE LINE.'

That was an unpleasant experience. Managed to get Thursday and Saturday badges. Wish SDCC would figure out a way to make ticket sales smoother.

If anyone is willing to part with, or has extras for sat im still looking...gracias guys...

I stopped trying after about 15 minnute. Figured it was a waste of time by then.

It's a matter of sheer volume. People from all around the world were pushing that green button all at the same second. I'm impressed a server can even manage that. The SD Convention Center is just not big enough for this event.

Was able to get in...my wife and I will attending for the first time. Feel pretty luck after reading everyone's experience this morning..

I just booked my hotel...only 10 blocks away! Last year I was 5 miles away! LOL!!!

First check with Comic Con to make sure you can transfer the Member ID. I remember last year they weren't honoring transfered badges.
