BTW If anyone is thinking about trying to do a Carbon Fiber Wrap, walmart.com has a ridiculous deal on carbon fiber wrap!l (60x12" of the stuff for $6.49 & Free Shipping!)
I wasn't sure which size print to order so a got a few different sizes, should have enough for dozens of attempts if needed.

I changed my mind on the vinyl carbon fiber wrap, The stuff I got is the wrong pattern, steps instead of checkerboard.
I think Vinyl will be bulky and be very tough to get it to look right. The plasti-dip method looks MUCH better.

With regards to the grips, my plan is to paint it. There are some good videos on Youtube where they use a perforated rubber mat as a paint mask. My concern with wrap is getting it to stretch enough around the bottom of the grip and then not to bunch up near the trigger guard.

Got home today, with the box sitting on the table, and the excitement on my face was indescribable. And I'm certainly not disappointed. This kit is beautiful, the castings are crisp and I love the weight of it too! Thanks very much m8 [emoji106]

Nice work! How did you do the carbon affect on the grip? Particularly, how did you get it to “wrap” around the grip?
