Unlimited Run Blade Runner 2049 - Officer's K pistol by ELILAY

Thanks. The carbon fibre wasn't too difficult. I just followed this tutorial

Thanks. Yeah I saw that earlier, great tutorial!

Can you describe how you managed to wrap it around the handle and get a seamless finish. While I’m yet to try that technique myself, I can imagine it must be difficult to wrap the grip mat around the grip without getting overlap or a big join line that doesn’t match up?

Can somebody point me in the right direction to get one of those pattern mesh used in the video? I found them in their shop, but you have to buy the whole kit to get the mesh :unsure

I just sprayed each side individually. That way I didn't need to wrap it round the whole thing, as I found that quite difficult.

Guys,
Don't fear the vinyl wrap! Mine came out great! This is another blaster run from the UK I purchased!

Same kit, painted carbon look. Loads of mods especially reshaping the grip. More layers of lacquer and some more detailing to go, but its almost there now.
This is my cheaper version of the blaster which im testing colours and painting on. Ill hydrochrome the Elilay version before painting I think.
Just waiting the delivery now. OOOH Happy days :)

Oooooo! Looks good Flyscriber! Same here, test piece! What colour and brand did you use for the main body of the gun?

Regards

My pattern, ... let me tell you about my pattern...........;-)

Im answer to gorgedawestie's question.
Its gloss black automotive as a base coat with some tamia silver airbrushed on to the edges. Then some masking fluid and another pass with tamia gunmetal fading it out a bit here and there. Then another masking fluid session and a finishing pass in automotive satin black with an airbrush to let the layers come through a bit. There's some other colours in there like german grey on the "vent" bits and some subtle browns, and some flat, satin and gloss lacquers for surface differences.

Hope this helps

Cool! Thanks for sharing Flyscriber! A lot of work went in to it and the end result looks great! Well done! I used gun metal grey auto paint but to be honest the colour looks a little robocopy to me but still I like the finish it gave! Will be giving the Tamiya's ago! :D

Hey!

Somewhat of a noobie here. When people say interested in a finished model, does that mean assembled with paint and everything?

Thanks

Anyone else received theirs? I'm getting "origin post is preparing for shipment" for almost 3 weeks now.

I am having a similar delivery issue, apparently it has been in the depot in Poland for about 4 days now!! fingers crossed from here.

well the tracking online was a bit wrong, as I received the blaster today. Great work on the detailing elilay, it is a massive handgun :). Considerably larger in form than the original blaster. It is a whopper. Cant wait to get this one done. The barrels have collapsed ever so slightly into the suppressor area as the resin cured, so I will need to remove the barrels and straighten them up a bit. but nothing major, im just a freak with things like that. I think I will replace with metal just to be sure.
All together a great transaction with Elilay, nicely done guys.
