AT-AT Driver Costume Construction

I was looking through the Chronicles and noticed the hose hookups on 4-lom. Could these be a distant cousin to the at-at driver tusks?

These look like vacuum electrical feedthroughs

and to be fair the six holed flange on the ATAT looks like a vacuum flange also.

Any of the greeblies that you end up making pleas let me know. I am helping with a AtAt costume for a frend and we are in need of some of them..

My buddy Dan just finished some new AT-AT box pieces and cast up the real BOC soda bulbs.
VERY sharp.

Wow didn't mean to kill the flow. I have one of these in the FAR future and am watching very closely, amazing the various well.....junk these were cobbled together with :)

A little too much greeblie action on those black pieces. The originals were pretty flat.
Has he finished the different discs for the sides of the chestbox?

Has anyone a screenshot or promotional picture where you can see the greeblies JJax posted? I couldn't find them in the pics I have.
Please enlighten me. :)

I'm contemplating getting a pair of hangers too... do you have a cutoff on this run? Not sure yet .. I'm thinking about it though :)

Is it just me or should the 2 at-at threads be combined?
[/b]

Hi Moncal,

If you are talking about this thread and my thread about greeblies http://www.therpf.com/index.php?showtopic=115890&st=0 .

I started a new one so as not to piss on Clutch's bonfire so to speak. I didn't want the greeblie search to detract from his excellent suit construction project :thumbsup . So I started another one in the prop forum out of respect for this thread.

I am not sure if the greeblie hunt may dillute this thread down a bit and take away from Clutch's work.

Cheers Chris.

Good point. :) .. and I agree. Sorry. It seemed to get sidetracked here lately. Clutch, perhaps jumpin jax and I should remove our pics and move them to the greeblie thread and clean it up a bit for you?

I apologize for the hijack. I should know better ;)

Maybe both threads should be in the costuming forum?

Agreed the screen ones are almost flat.

JJ the replicas your friend has made are very funky and greeblied up to the max they do look very cool :thumbsup A lot of work has obviously went into making these look like something that would be a real life working piece on an ATAT pilots suit if he had just walked out the armoury. Great pics thanks for sharing :)

The BOC hangers look very nice. I believe AnsonJames had found a material that was very similar in feel to the original hangers and got a pigment to match also.

The original hangers are a very rugged hard plastic for anyone who doesn't have one.

Cheers Chris.

Could those thingys on the left be nails for a nail gun (encapsulated in clear stuff).
[/b]

They could be nails (nails for nail guns are sometimes called plastic collated nails or strip nails), rivets, molex pins, winchester pins.....

Is it just me or does it just look like rivets stuck down with opaque of glass tape.

Chris.

I've always thought the same thing about the possibility of those being from a nail gun strip. They do appear to be bent over though, which might suggest something else.

The black piece looks like a piece on the hoth comm pad. If I have time I will look through my model kits tomorrow

No Moncal that doesn't look like the piece. That is the piece :D . I hope you find it in your model kits.

Well maybe you were right about merging the threads as you have hopefully found a greeblie in the costume construction thread.

Also I don't think the nails or whatever they are do bend I think it is the shadows. They do bend in the photo of the replica made by JJs friend.

I will try and see in another photo if I can see any more of the nails (I will call them that for now :) )

This will be excellent if this is from a model known kit :thumbsup :thumbsup

Great spot on the Hoth comm pad.

Cheers Chris.

Thanks. I knew it right away and I know I've seen the piece I just don't know if it's in one of my model kits or where it was. I've got a busy day tomorrow and will be out of town for a couple days so be patient with me .. maybe someone already knows the part and will save me the time ;)

And there are people who say I don't share information :rolleyes sheesh :p

Oh sorry Moncal I think I am mistaken in what you said earlier about the nails/pins/whatever were bent over I thought you meant on the left hand side going in towards the armour.

I see what you mean now they are bent but on the right hand side next to the two black pieces coming away from the armour. Looking straight on you cant see it, it just looks like it has one thicker end but in actual fact these bits are L shaped when you look from the side angle.

I will try looking for these.

Cheers Chris.
