The first one, I would reconsider a interrupted light stripe you can see on some costumes.
I'm curious to know what you all think about this jacket I found. Considering that the Flynn jacket was more than likely a modified Alphine NYC perforated jacket, I was searching along those lines. I came across this. I'm pretty confident that this could be suitable enough after modifications.

Do you know the name of the seller? I love this jacket!
@Almostanangel: I'm trying to build a suit for my wife. How did you make the suit? Did you have a pattern for the grey patches? Thanks
Great job, Almostanangel!!That finger light was 16 bucks?! O.O Did you look into the glove lights they make for raves? Or the little clips that are normally around...(should be) $2-$3?
Eh, what ever the cost, you look great!
cyvaris-Have you looked into sewing the sides of the reflective tape? I used reflective tape in the past and I know how it never seems to want to stay put.
Look into fishing wire. It's clear and VERY strong. You would need to get a leather needle(stronger than normal thin needles) to do the job. Did electric tape not work?
I just added power lead wires, held on by E6000 glue, to Glowhut.com ELTape.. looks fine, lights up, no issues or degreneration after a week.
Thanks so much! yeah... it seems like i got screwed over.. i ordered it from a european company.. so the shipping alone was 6 dollars... and the micro finger light was 10 dollars.. so.... yeah... T_T should have done more research...
Don't buy a "finger light" they are cheap pieces of crap. Best thing to do is buy an Inova LED light (used by ravers for gloves and orbits). They are extremely bright, reliable and around $9.Eh, it happens to all of us. I over paid for MANY things u.u
But you look awesome so..Who cares?![]()
Yep. Snagged one of the micro lights at the local Target for under $8 a short while back.Don't buy a "finger light" they are cheap pieces of crap. Best thing to do is buy an Inova LED light (used by ravers for gloves and orbits). They are extremely bright, reliable and around $9.
Thanks.. I actually don't use patterns believe it or not.. i freehand it.. >_< .. that goes the same with all my other cosplays.. i sorta trace it out.. until it fits.. i wasted a lot of fabric and materials.. ROFL.. and its lycra.
Seeing your post has given me hope. I can't afford a lot, but knowing that the GlowHut ELtape works fine means that I'll be giving them my money.
Wait...I just noticed that it's only 10mm wide...doesn't seem worth it to me.
^ That's disappointing to hear. I'm assuming that Luminousfilm.com and Lighttape.com don't have this issue as they seem to be the manufacturers themselves and hopefully have better QC.
