In a pinch for time, I’m going to try making the shirt from these sheets. The color seems to be pretty close to what I need. I’m still trying to wrap my brain around the way to make the v-neck collar correctly.

The shirt is custom, (this convo is much deeper than I am going into here, so, read page 1 of this convo as it is about the shirt) so, no pattern, that I know of, suffices EXACTLY but the v-neck is just the standard pirate/peasant front process with patterns/processes available from several sources including the one for Jack Sparrow:

A backer was made (that long white strip in the video. But, yours will be your non white material, same material as your shirt....don't use actual product call "backer") and stitched to the front (yes the front) of where the shirt is being cut for the v and is stitched to the shirt along the full v (both legs of the V, not just one straight line). After this is complete and sewing is done, the single, only one, cut is made down the center but NOT all the way to the newly sewn point of the V (I left 1/8 inch but it could be more). This is all in the pattern instructions. THEN, the backer strip is flipped to the inside of the shirt (sewn to the front but now flipped inside) along the intended v stitch. This can now be ironed and then stitched or a combination of press tape and stitching. It is not a beginner technique so please look up plenty of video on all this. It cannot be done cleanly without an iron as the tip of the V is now spreading out and wants to bunch up. Iron it flat but don't burn your fabric.... even more practice in advance. Keep in mind that I know you are already way past this in know-how but am answering in a way that it will help anyone who reads it.
The shirt for Jod is a true Crackerjack style sailing shirt that is no longer available in pattern form, that I can find. Currently, we are all making customs. If anyone wants to put their hard earned Jod patterns here.... you will be spared when the mutiny comes.
The real gist of the whole v cut with backer material is you are giving it a way to fold back from the slit area while giving it a stitched edge with only having had 1/8 inch total lip edge to do that to. It wouldn't even be possible if it was cut first. It must be cut last. You are doing the edge seam in advance by sewing the v through the backer material, into the shirt itself and then and only then cutting the one slit down the front. Flipping it to the inside and, POP, you only then can see the nice stitched seam you made. Use an ironing bone knife to get that seam completely flipped and pushed out while ironing.
I had to pin mine inside out before ironing. It kept wanting to roll back. Once your ironed version looks precise, you can use stitch tape or sew it but remember to test this as you are putting this front and center of the entire costume.

I got to do a test run with Silvo at GenCon this weekend. Had a few folks recognize him and loved it. Definitely need a fan in the helmet, and to have spare energy cells on hand for the saber. I still haven’t added the pockets to my coat, and DEFINITELY need to add this to stuff with credits…
