Honestly the yellow wire would be awesome for Clu. Especially since its more a throwback to the first movie. Plus that yellow seems to have a sliiiiight orange hint to it
Can you please be more specific about how you attached the lighttape to the suit?
If I use velcro, then it would be sewing one side of the velcro to the suit (obviously), the other to vinyl (cut to strips), and then glue the lighttape to the vinyl?
Did you skip this and just glued the lighttape to the velcro? If so, where did you hide the connectors? (I thought about attaching them to fabric first in order to hide them beneath it so I wouldn't have to sew them into the suit itself)
Also, which glue did you guys use? I'll use the "real stuff" at lighttape.com, and they told me not to use a sillicone glue, so E6000 is off limits I guess. Recommendations?
^ Sweet! Haven't thought of that. Thanks! But will it be strong enough to survive parties, etc?
And what about the lighttape, I don't think ironing straight on it would be a good idea.. (It's covered with a laminated layer that might not survive heat).
If using the bare wire then fishing line would be sufficient, so long as you were applying it to something you could poke a needle through. Those that have done the diffusion method have used clear packing tape to secure it to whatever they were using as their backing I believe. How about securing the wire? Fishing line maybe?

I used e6000 and it worked just fine.
I just finished a "slightly" Tron-like suit.

I made it using el-wire, el-tape, and RGB flex LEDs. It somewhat moves to music that you play. Different parts of the suit light up depending on which notes are played. I got a lot of help and ideas from reading these forum posts. Here is the video which was shot of the suit.

Could anyone point me too a rough page count on were the discussion on diffusion happened? I have a month to finish for the Con I plan to attend this and I think I might be able to finish the small amount of diffusion I would have planned.
