The Ultimate Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Real Vintage Parts Lightsaber Group

Been thinking for a while that I need to light my displays.
Got some cheapish lighting from China and spent a few hours arranging and cable managing.
I don’t think it turned out too bad.

I’m so please I can stare at my Obi wan morning, noon and now night :)

My personal Obi is on the left, and to the right a 'spare' being built with vintage parts! I was originally going to sell the saber whole, but the booster is spoken for. The parts on the saber to the right are available if anyone is searching for anything! I'll take better photos later but for now just enjoy the smattering of parts!

A balance pipe is the last thing I need, but I’m broke so that’s not happening for a while. I’m okay with this.

Reminder about how LUCKY we are to be this picky. Money is not a barrier. Condition is not a barrier. Only perfect examples of these hard to find items seem to be interesting to collectors and builders lately.

There was a time you were lucky to see ONE of something, and being a vintage item, it was understood that the condition is up to history and way out of our control.

It’s amazing seeing all these builds, please keep sharing, it’s like a gallery of history

As per Chaim’s last reply, I managed to grab the final part (a beautiful booster) for my Obi build thanks to schrodinger555, who has been monumental in getting me over the finish line.

I thought I’d be done for a while after the recent female BP purchase!!!

Now I still need to tape up and accent the clamp with screws, cotter pins etc and get my real bubble strip cut and fitted before it’s truly done - so until then I shall wait to take some better photos.

What an awesome journey though. And very rewarding to have completed.

That’s truly a lovely looking saber and I’m sure others will agree, very happy you found your way out from having to part with it.
