The Ultimate Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Real Vintage Parts Lightsaber Group

I believe Roman has a video.. I know this was brought up a few times, and some people have had a hard time because of the age and sink “gunk” over the years

Are there isntructions anywhere on how to take apart the armitage shanks? I'm struggling with one of mine. Thanks!
Some times they get stuck. Take the cap off and twist the metal top peice to the left while holding the bottom most plastic part. Its 5 pieces in total including cap and ring. The bottom part locks into the cubes so its all about getting the top metal part loose.

I might have that backwards. The top part might lock the cubes.

Yeah, mine came apart easy, it was just that initial, "How the hell does this go together and come apart" where I didn't want to mangle it.

Incidentally, the tap handle on my Roman's replica became over-tightened, and so I couldn't disassemble it.

As it turned out, I didn't even need to use a dowel. I just assembled the full prop, as normal. The bottom of the booster fits nicely into the inside of the tap handle, after all.

All I had to do after that is twist, and the handle came apart easily.

Whelp, the journey for me is done.

Thanks to ChrisRWars for the final piece, the Booster.

It hasn't been a too long one but it was deifnitely fun, lol.

I may eventually upgrade my wonky grenade but I've grown to appreciate it's weirdness and wear.

Who knows, but it definitely won't be anytime soon unless prices drop on them.

Thanks to all involved in helping me.

I got some helpful advice from Chaïm about how to photo my saber without as much lens distortion, and so I tried to match the reference pics as closely as possible and show off my Obi in all its glory!

It's as close now as I think I can get it! For all intents and purposes I think this build is fully finished. Hope you guys enjoy!
