The Mandalorian (TV series)

I read an interview where Favreau said they actively waited on toys and merchandise to not spoil the reveal of The Child.

I actually thought that was pretty cool.

I’m sure there’s some truth to that, especially with Revealing Baby Yoda. But the other stuff like ships and IG-11 were previewed.

Disney simply had their mouse head up their behind, focused on the Rise of Skywalker release. Because you never know, Admiral Purple hair or Rose Tico could be huge sellers! LOL.

Just watching the Mandalorian again and I must say, Razor Crest is becoming one of my favorite ships in the whole Star Wars universe. I hope Bandai makes a model kit.

Yeah at this point it’s basically a location setting in the show, a full set where important stuff happens.

I agree on the upside with you, although i defo think this series will be based on what the fans want to a certain extent but with lots of research from favreau and his team, also lots of actors seem to prefer series based work now and i think that is because there is more money in it for them as an actor, it will mean more money for producers and studios aswell ofcourse.... too many crap films are being churned out now too quickly i think with actors in 6 or 7 films a year which is not good if you are a movie buff like me as everything is rushed, and we have just seen 2 failed terminator trilogy reboots in 4 years, possibly due to directors and actors with too many marbles rolling around upstairs now or maybe a combination of that and too much work?... so a series seems to be the best way to go in most franchises it appears.

Maybe just me but I have always seen Star Wars as a cinematic property. Hindsight is always 20/20 but just imagine the impact of Baby Yoda had he debuted on the big screen. Some countries haven't even been able to see the series at all yet.

For anyone wondering, I'm pretty sure that the bag the biker scout was using is a British pattern 37 backpack, or something very closely based on it. I own the smaller version of it as my everyday bag, and it was kinda wild seeing something of mine featured prominently in Star Wars. No idea what they were using as the strap though, it might be an American military belt of some kind.

Yeah luckily i was able to download 1080p versions in the uk, the disney streaming service is reported by some news outlets to be available in March 2020 in the uk apparently.

Disney are massive and appear to be doing good work so its a service i may well pay for when available to me, as long as George Lucas is not involved in star wars stuff i will continue to watch that franchise aswell..

That Beskar targeting weapon from Rebels, or a variant of it, must still be in possession of the remnants of the Empire. In my mind thats the only way the Mandalorians in the covert were taken out. There were what, at least 2 dozen sets of armour in that pile? And probobly more that were already melted down by the Armourer. Given the fighting prowess of the Mandalorians you would need a large Imperial strike force to taken them out. Greef had no idea anything had even happened, and given that he more than most would be aware of the arrival of an Imperial force that big it seems unlikely that that is what happened. Im willing to bet that the Imps have a smaller, more portable version of that weapon in play, enabling a smaller force to destroy the covert and that its going to be a factor in season 2.

If i blast the screen of my computer, doesn't make the computer non-functioning or useless.

If you shoot a person in the right spot in the leg, for example, it can be fatal. It's entirely possible for a droid to shrug off the same shot. You have to hit something vital to the function of a droid to take it out. I believe Mando shot it in the head in E1, hence, one shot. He took apendage and body shots here which aren't going to be fatal to it. The force of it could knock him down, but not necessarily hurt it. I mean, i could shoot my refrigerator door. Stuff inside may no longer stay cool due to the breaking of the seal, but the thing could still function exactly as intended other than that.
