The Mandalorian (TV series)

Wow... where the hell was this for three whole movies?
They missed out on not actually making this a movie and possibly a trilogy. The only upside to that is the movie division never got an opportunity to get their hands on it and completely ruin it.

The start of the last episode really got me worried, the way the two troopers was structured it completely took me out of the emotion of seeing what happened to Quiil. It came across as something that belonged in a Tarantino movie and why have them wait there anyway? Fortunately things improved considerably and was a great way to end series one.

The ferry-droid reminded me of a spindlier version of this guy from a few years back...

I agree on the upside with you, although i defo think this series will be based on what the fans want to a certain extent but with lots of research from favreau and his team, also lots of actors seem to prefer series based work now and i think that is because there is more money in it for them as an actor, it will mean more money for producers and studios aswell ofcourse.... too many crap films are being churned out now too quickly i think with actors in 6 or 7 films a year which is not good if you are a movie buff like me as everything is rushed, and we have just seen 2 failed terminator trilogy reboots in 4 years, possibly due to directors and actors with too many marbles rolling around upstairs now or maybe a combination of that and too much work?... so a series seems to be the best way to go in most franchises it appears.

Some of you may or may not know but that ending.... holy crap seeing that in live action... can’t wait

the dark saber is my second favorite lightsaber of all time
Gideon shot the big power supply the gun hooks up to - that is what caused the explosion.
And now I need a Beskar jet pack. Thanks Fav. I’m outta space in the collection room!!!?!

What's with all the spoiler tags?,...anyone around here would have already seen it,......

on the other hand,....if I were to say....

I know details about Series 2 that could ruin things for ya

Season two theme song
Kidding!!
I was going to say a Stranger Things Mandalorian but there's definitely a touch of Blake's 7 in that retro vibe too.

I was instantly reminded of “Troops”

Except for the fact that they were able to kill Kruil while he was riding his beast a full speed and they were also on speeder bikes at full speed, but later can’t hit a can while sitting still!

My theory is that Gideon wants to be a dark Jedi. He ultimately was the client seeking the child. We know that the doctor was told to just extract what you need from it and dispose of it. Was he trying to extract midiclorians (sp?) and inject them into himself so he could have power over the force?

I like the IG, but my problem is, if Droids are that good, why did the Empire droids all suck so much by comparison?

I thought the same thing, but figured the targeting computer on the bike enabled them to hit him. IDK, just a thought.

Absolutely loved the episode. It was very satisfying and certainly has me eager for season 2.

I did find my response to IG taking his helmet off funny though. I love me some Pedro Pascale. He is one fine man imo... but seeing Mando with his helmet off felt WRONG. It felt weird and intimate, like walking in on someone naked. I think it's a real tribute to the acting of the body doubles and his voice over efforts when it's not him in the suit. For me, I am able to easily pick up on the nonverbal cues in their body language to convey things that we would normally get from facial expression.

It's a delightful scenario that most actors would be absolutely daunted by.

Oh no, you've gone and used the m-word. An IG unit will be by soon to punish you. Do not attempt to flee.

I really enjoyed the finale.

BUT...the music... :(

The music is still a weak point. A case in point, rewatch the scene with the Moff announcing that he would wait until sundown and then unleash the blaster cannon upon the Mandalorian and his band. The music that played over the scene was just jarring and out of place.

I still love the show, but please consider a change in the direction of the music for season 2, Disney.
