The Definitive Marvel's Daredevil thread

If anyone is still looking for the arm guards, elbow pads and wrist straps, They have all three still in stock of all sizes over on www.eastbay.com
I've just ordered some myself :)

Cool! Be sure to post again when they come in and let people know which variants there are. I don't think I've seen any incorrect wrist straps, but the elastic extension/length of the forearms and elbow pads varies quite a bit. There are logos stamped on these products, sometimes in inconvenient spots or with the incorrect older logo. Always good to get a confirmed source of the correct ones if you find one!

Certainly will! Will be a few weeks ago though, as I'm in Australia and 8 hours from a capital city, so it takes a while lol.

Sorry if I missed it if it was said earlier but has anyone identified the motocross leg armour foggy pulls out of Matt's box. Someone posted a pic earlier but I don't think it was ID'd

Totally bummed. McDavid shirt got here today after two weeks, and they sent the stupid new one with the 'M' patterning, not the hex pattern that was advertised. >.<

Edit: if anyone has an 8840 or 8800 with the hex pattern, who is maybe willing to sell, could they pm me? :)

So I've finally got all of my stuff.

I actually managed to get a pair of the right G-Star Powel pants in black. They are a *little* short however, but given they'll be tucked into the boots, no one will notice. I'm still not sure whether to buy the Bates boots or not. My Captain America stealth suit boots should do fine, and I already have enough pairs of tactical boots for costumes :S

Unfortunately got the new 8840R compression shirt with the McDavid logo rather than the hex pattern. Does anyone have any suggestions for making the stitching red? Colour or just sew over them with red thread?

I also accidentally bought an extra pair of the forearm guards; for some reason I missed they were sold in pairs. So if anyone in Australia wants a set, PM me and I'll sell 'em to you cheap.

I'd also be up for a McDavid 8840R with the hex pattern if anyone has one they're willing to part with. However, given the amount of folks who want one, surely someone on the RPF has the know how to do a custom run of these?

Next is the holster. But I'll get a pic of all the gear once I've gotten the logos off the elbow guards :p

Also, did anyone manage to get a Levi's belt without the logo on the end?

Be seeing you,

Magnus Darcrider

Just FYI, I think the McDavid logo wasn't taken off the elbow hex pads, or not all the time. At the very least not in episode 9. You can see it pretty clearly before and during the fight with Nobu.

Much like their shirts, they made changes to the pads without giving them a new product number or variant SKU. Some of them have old fashioned "McDavid" logotype on the extension elastic above or below the pad. I saw one pair with a McDavid logo ON the hex pad. There are versions with the correct logo on the inseam, but rotated 90 degrees. But yes, if you have one M-HEX logo running vertically down the inside of the elbow, that one should stay!

How surprising ! I guess I was lucky with mine as they got the proper logos in the right place. I would have been really mad to get one with the logo on the Hex pad.
I've honestly never seen a company operating like that. It's borderline awful customer service.

It's so odd. I know they didn't do it on purpose, but assembling this suit it felt at times like the costume designers went out of their way to choose manufacturers who don't update SKUs or product names. How many McDavid items share the same item numbers? How many versions exist of G-Star Powel Tapered 3D pants? I have quite a few incorrect items in my collection.

I've managed to find a supplier on Evilbay with a few of the hex pattern 8800's left in two sizes. I have messaged them and they confirmed the style is correctly advertised and for sale. Not sure how many in small, and 4 Large left. Don't think I'm supposed to post a link to them, so if anyone is interested, feel free to PM me :)

Edit: seller provided false information... No hex patterns left in stock :(

The accurate shirts are obviously becoming nearly impossible to find since the are now older designs, but I know the 8840R is still available in XXL on the McDavid site. Has anyone thought about using the big shirt to make a custom size? Is anyone capable of doing such a thing?

I have one shirt on order right now and I'll give it to my seamstress friend (the one who's making the black masks and holsters of my current run) to see if she can turn that XXL into a medium. I'll keep everyone updated on the progress.

Has anyone had any luck ordering the compression shirt off of Amazon? I've decided that finding the correct one with the hexes on the arms/side is impossible, but I at least want the hexes and not the McDavid <M>

I'm looking at this page on Amazon :: http://www.amazon.com/McDavid-Compr...=UTF8&qid=1440131342&sr=1-82&keywords=mcdavid

The supplier is Sporting Doc.

Just wondering if anyone has ordered this yet.

If not, who has a screen accurate in medium for sale??

*EDIT* I bought the shirt, here's to hoping it has some hexes on it, I'll edit this post again and let you all know which version of the shirt this is when it arrives. 8/21/15

I bought 2 from multiple sellers on Amazon and they were both the wrong ones(M's instead of hexes). My next idea was to order the one directly thru Amazon instead of a third party and see if thats the same one they advertise in the listing...

Your best bet is to contact them first. It can save you a lot of time/money.

I contacted Amazon several times about the discrepancy between the advertised images and shipped products and they took down all listings for a while to investigate but it came back a few days later with all the same sellers and old images unfortunately. I think the 8800 shirts are just mostly gone everywhere, if not completely gone in favor of the updated logo sleeves

What i meant was to contact the third party sellers and ask them to specifically check. I contacted several who all told me it was the M pattern vs the hex before I ran into an eBayer who actually had the hex (that was a couple of months ago).

Frankly I've given up on finding the original mcdavid shirt but didn't they use a Nike compression shirt and just sharpie the seams red? Seems like that would be just as screen accurate as the near impossible to find shirts and cheaper.
