The Definitive Marvel's Daredevil thread

So a while back I bought the McDavid shirt in XXL from their website to see if it could be adapted to work for my medium size self. Turns out it prolly can't, the stitching is pretty complicated according to the tailor I visited, it can't really be duplicated without a huge factory machine or something. It would be extremely difficult and expensive and nearly impossible to cut the shirt down that many sizes and still maintain the hex patterns in the sides and underarms too. So if anyone has a medium accurate shirt they're looking to sell(or a small or large, I'll take anything!) or if you found a vendor that still has stock, let me know!

It says it's expandable, but what type of belt does it work with where you can install 2 of them and wrap it around your leg? Perhaps you can sew two of these onto some material to make it look like a dual baton holder, but just curious if there's a belt that goes with it ?

It's a Bianchi. It's made to go with Bianchi tactical belts. But they're nylon. You can sew into them pretty easily.

It's for expandable batons. The holster itself isn't expandable. I bought these and hot glued the crap out of 2 and put them together.

Hi guys! Long time since last time I posted anything here :)

I've been following this thread for a while now and trying to complete my black daredevil costume, all your work is really cool and helpful.
I need help with 1 thing:
Do you know any website in Europe where I can get the Ringers gloves? (http://aboloxsafety.com/gloves/law-...aw-enforcement-carbon-tactical-glove-stealth/)
Btw, I already have my McDavid's compression shirt, and I was lucky for buying one size bigger than mine, because the shirt is very "compressive". I'm currently an S size or perhaps a bit more, and I got an M size, which fits really cool. Just in case, I wanted to share this.

Thanks for the help and advice, your work here is really awesome!

Can't help you in terms of those specific ones, I looked for a while and had no luck. Almost like they don't exist over here. I did, however, find these.

If "Pretty close" is good enough for you, these look the business.

Hey, guys. I've already got my shirt and forearm/elbow pads. But does anyone know where I can find some relatively affordable pants and boots? Those are the ones that I'm having the most trouble with in finding a version that's less than $100.

Thanks!

Just wanted to share my wooden sticks holster:

Just wanted to share my nearly finished Mike costume..

The Shirt is a modified Nike Combat pro, just like on the show during the first few episodes. I painted the seams with fabric paint.

The pants are custom-made GStar's. I own the actual pants but they did not fit..Went to my tailor and told him to replicate the pants plus make them a size bigger, and he did. He took measurements off the real pants and added an inch or so.

The mask and the holsters are my own..I might redo the mask to make it appear thicker. I even padded the front with a foam piece.

Wait - so you had him make you a replica pair of pants, or did he alter the original ones you had? If he made a replica, how much did he charge you? was he able to get the "3D" part of the pants the same?

Anybody else with a JKKS mask remember how to tie it back?

If you are referring to the 3d as the ovalish shape of the legs, then yes.
No, he actually replicated the original G-star's. I gave him a pair of original G-star's and told him to make it 1:1, even if it meant tearing the originals apart. He did cut open the legs because he couldn't figure out the weird shape.. He is already making another pair. This time with more accurate zipper holders and back buttons, I'll post pics once they are done.
I only paid like 50 usd. I live in China. Tailor work is cheaper here.

Unfortunately, my cowl doesn't have any red lenses. I am not handy at all, so I was wondering if I could get some suggestions or someone can sell me some red transparent lenses that I can glue onto my cowl.

Maybe have a chat with Tjack? I think he might have some red lenses for Scarlet Spider. Worth a message at least

Guys, I would like to buy the McDavid 8840R, but I'm not finding it anywhere. Do you know where I could purchase it, even if it's discontinued by now?

Unfortunately, whether they use the image of the accurate shirt or an image of the modern variant with <M> icons instead of the hex pattern, retailers carrying this shirt are actually dropshippers for McDavid's current (inaccurate) stock. The only way to find one and be sure of what you're getting at this point would be to watch eBay for a used or old stock one in an instance in which someone posts an image of the actual shirt they're selling. I picked up several of the inaccurate shirts inadvertently in trying to find the 8840s and 8800s!
