That would have been awesome to see! What a small world!! I can just imagine driving along, seeing that, and saying "gee...I wonder if that's Matt's Mattmobile??".

Yes. I'll post pics when I get to working on that part of the build. it's not unfixable, though I think it will be the biggest challenge of the overall body work.

But please, keep in mind, I'm absolutely thrilled with the body. It's very straight, very nice. I dont' want to detract at all from the builders work, and I will recommend him to anyone who asks for a lead.

Cody, the guy who drove it out here, said the ENTIRE way over he was surrounded by cars trying to get into position to snap a picture. :lol

Such a nice piece of work, sooooooo jealous as of all the batmobiles, this was my favourate. I wiould pay to fly to your just to sit in it lol.

Sweeet!!! Enjoy putting that bad boy together after I am done with KITT I def need a batmobile. I am following this thread and your youtube channel better than I follow up support tickets at my company LOL
 
It really is beautiful. I'm so excited to see you've finally got the shell IN YOUR GARAGE! It's been a long time coming. I think we're all just as excited as you are! :)

There was another vehicle on the trailer, but I didn't pay much attention because there was a BATMOBILE on the trailer.

My wife didn't find it near as cool as I did, nor would she let me turn around to follow and get pictures.

So, I recently joined the forums here, (so hi everyone! lol) and found your thread pretty quick. Needless to say, I subscribed before I finished going through all the thread pages. And seeing that pic of the Batmobile shell sitting in your garage, I just have one thing to say. You sir, are my Hero. :D
 
Since there has been so much community involvement on this project Matt you have thought far enough ahead to reserve the liscence plate "THERPF" right? Lol
 
What is the lineage of the body? Is it a fan sculpt, or does it have some tie to the actual one from the movie?

It's a generation or two off the real deal. Not a fan sculpt at all. There have been some changes made along the way, just as you would expect from anything that is molded, cast, remolded, cast, etc, but it is in fact from the real deal.

Very awesome! I've always been curious as to what the history of the shells is, pretty exciting to know it's the real deal!! Can't wait to see the next video with the first look!
 
The "unboxing" video of the shell is uploading now. It's a little on the long side, but there was just so much fun footage that I wanted to incorporate. I hope you guys like it.

Also, I'm STUNNED to see that just as I uploaded my thank you video to my first 100 subscribers, I've already gotten another 25! Wow! Huge thanks and high five to everyone who has joined in the fun.

lol I read this as "how long til you marry the body?" which, given your excitement about it arriving, doesn't seem that far fetched. :)
