Supernatural Props.What Ya Got... 4 Years 2010-2014

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Here's a photo of a few of my Machetes (yes they have the green cord handles, it's just that my camera sucks so they kida look black......:$) and my Dean Winchester Zombie stake that I made. The Zombie stake and machetes are NOT 100% CORRECT but I do put them in the 95% to 98% correctness catagory......:cool Picture was taken on the carpert I just got for my Impala............................:) OH, FUN DAYS AHEAD!!!!! :lol

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Found a pretty nice Dean "bottle opener" ring. Expensive, but completely hand made and the quality looks to be head and shoulders above other similar items I've purchased before. Should make a welcome addition to the collection.

Nice! I've been looking for one of those machetes but can't find one anywhere :( A while back I saw a cheap one with black cord on ebay but passed on it, wish I hadn't.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

There's an interest thread in the JY for those wanting a wooden spear point like what's in the boys truck.

Not mine, but it does look nifty. :)

Side note, has anyone given any thought to "Expanded universe" props? I've been seriously thinking of making a gauntlet that's one of those big armored ones, but having the runes from Ruby's dagger engraved or etched onto the fingers and knuckles. Sort of a demon knuckle duster.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

You mean like original props based off the series? I hadn't given that a thought...but it's definitely something to think about.

Hey Rick is that paracord that you used to wrap the handles? Or just some regular green thread/rope.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Just so everyone knows I did not wrap my machetes as I bought them this way................................:cool

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I'm trying to decide what kind/how many salt/ash etc rounds I want from Hydin, and wonder if anyone has any suggestions about how to display them?
Anyone know what the boys store their shotgun rounds in? Is there an ID'd item or a random cigar box/tin/shotgun shell box or do they float around in the car trunk?

I figured some of you might have an idea :)

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Only thing I can recall off hand is a bandoleer they used in season 3.

I just bought a cheap one from the local sport shop for about 8$ and it holds 25. Loaded it up and set it on the shelf, and it's good to go.

Most people buy 2 or 4 of the salt rounds though. Load em and seat em next to an airsoft shotgun I'd assume.

Haha, I was expecting you to be like "Oh they use this box of 250 :rolleyes"

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

:lol

Nah, I gotta admit, I was tempted to mention you can buy cardboard ammo boxes that hold 25 rounds. The only time I have seen em on the show has been either in the bandoleer or them reaching into a duffel bag to grab em and load.

Most people just get a few rounds to show off. Just depends on what sort of display you want to have going. I've had people order 25 of em, I've had people order 1. Just varies by how much shelf space you have, I guess :)

Wal Mart sells these ones for $58, looks similar.

I have the heavier Tungsten version of this as my wedding ring and never knew how close it was to Deans!

FYI, the Tungsten versions open beer bottles much better and without getting so much as a scratch on them.

I've heard from more than a few people that tungsten rings are pretty much indestructible.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I've amassed a little collection since I joined the forum, but I think I'll wait until my journal from Rick comes in to post what I got. I do however want to share something I've been working on for the past few days. I made these to be screen accurate, sans the photos which I couldn't find in a high enough quality to use. Shoutout to Pixels with the assist to help me find the correct name on Sam's Health Inspector ID. I had to custom make the FBI seal and the caduceus seal on the Health inspector ID to match. I'm working on Department of Homeland Security now.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

ID's look awesome. :thumbsup As far as the shells go, Hydin is spot on...I'd say a handful next to a few props would look good in a collection or you can go full bandollier.

That they are. My gold band that I lost while on patrol would get all bent and knicked up, this one still looks brand new and I've beat it up pretty good.

Doesn't hurt that now I know it's a damn good match to Deans ring too!

Thanks:) I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to the details. As for the shotgun rounds, I'm thinking of going full bandolier for the salt rounds. When Dean was filling the brass rounds with ash he was storing them in what looked like a wooden box with holes in the top for each round, that held 12 rounds. I might go for that as well:love

Be pretty neat and looks like a pretty easy prop to make..
