Everyone else, chill. We are all fans of the show, we all want to make cool stuff. Let's try to keep it civil. Remember the point of the forum. Some people have information they can't share because it will cause some real world problems (like job loss). Either take their advice, or leave it, but no need to fight about it. The whole point of the hobby is enjoyment.

If you don't want to take their advice, don't. If the person doesn't want to use your advice, don't pressure em. Keep it simple.

Now, let's go forth and make some awesome stuff

Here's my Esso Oil cans. Yes not only was I able to find this impossible to find can, but I found 2 at the same time (crazy right?). As you all may know. This is the can that is "most" used in the show for salting. BTW, I plan to coat the entire inside with a protective layer to prevent the salt I'm putting in from damaging the can. I know I could use white sand but I prefer the real thing.

BTW, Rick is an awesome guy, and I will back him up 100%. His Supernatural knowledge is amazing, and genuine. He is not a liar or an exaggerator. I trust him.

Not a bad deal, 48 bucks for a nice Sam/Dean jacket. Nice score Tenaciousbt, (I ran across the ebay listing with the same picture haha)

This one is a Sam Jacket, but Dean also wore it a couple of times.

Rather an obscure prop as, AFAIK, it's only been in one episode (season 1's Provenance), but has anybody attempted to id the type of stone or make a replica of Dean's whetstone/box? I'm assuming it's either an antique or a custom-made prop.

cant tell if there was one large stone in there at one time and they put in the divider, or if it actually housed 2 different gritted stones, one for sharpening the other to put the super fine edge on....does look antique, sorry that I dont have anymore info on it then that.

It's a hinged box. In that same scene he closes it (pictured below). They're definitely older. I don't think they make hinged whetstones anymore, but it wouldn't be very hard to make your own. The stone is probably a black softstone.

Death's Scythe was just an antique hand scythe. You can probably find one on ebay or at an antique store I imagine.

I think Death's scythe was a custom job. I've scoured the net since it showed up in season 4, extra hard when I started researching the ring, and haven't found an exact match.

I've found a few "pretty close", but nothing really 100%.

Been thinking of pestering the knife guy to give it a shot though. The main thing is the blade being one piece with the handle. 99% of the older ones have a 2 rivet setup or it's welded into place. Can't find one with the correct blade shape where the blade and handle are all one piece.

Plus, it glows in the show, so guessing there was a special fx version built with a bright red LED for help on the glowy bits. Completely a guess on my part though.
