Star Trek Into Darkness (Pre-release)

Because the rest of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was just so masterfully written outside of that scene. There is a lot more I could slam them with, but it's not all that relevant to this discussion. :p

[/spoiler]

Love the way you pin point one scene that destroyed your childhood, and when called out on it, you quickly change your argument to the the rest of the film....As always, youre consistant.

I still think its hilarious that 'passed judgement on this film and loathed it for the past 80 pages but yet are still determined to hand JJ, Orci your money for your supposed "final" judgement.

Well stated. :thumbsup

Heh! :lol

That...thing...looks like a rejected design from the Star Trek Online MMO.

If that's so who did you **** off cos the are keeping you in the dark!

You need to make a pitch for the next one who knows maybe you and us will get lucky.

You for have written a Trek movie, and us to bust yer - alls when we rip it to shreds! :D

If any of these spoilers are true this script went through a hell of a change from 4 months ago. Could be. When I first read the thing and talked with people CuCumberbatch's role was as the spoilers reports - but I was told by HIGH level people they weren't going to keep it that way. Hmmmm - What I'm trying to say is - I bring nothing to the table.

You may say I switch arguments, but at least I don't put words in peoples mouths. I never said that scene from Revenge of the Fallen destroyed my childhood. All I said was that Transformers was a franchise "from" my childhood. Same as Star Trek, which I also never stated that it destroyed my childhood with JJ's take.

And if you're going to waste my time by throwing snide comments on how I'll be paying to see this film, you clearly don't understand a thing about me when it comes to my love of seeing movies in the theater. I went and dragged my parents to go see Battlefield Earth when the reviews for it were all scathing. I went and saw Return to Never Land just to experience a direct to video Disney sequel on the big screen. I even endured Tree of Life knowing it was going to be a complete bore fest.

I LOVE going to see good and bad movies because everyone of them gives me something different. If Star Trek Into Darkness is going to a bad movie, I'll treat it like every other movie I've treated. I will not stoop to bootlegging or sneaking into the theater just to see it.

Movies are my passion Darth, and even if I end up hating STID, I'll still get something out of it.

Ok...how the heck do you delete an attachement??

Sorry guys, meant to put this in SPOILER blocks but now can't...

I think the big issue I have with the Vengeance is how the Aztec patterns are applied. The saucer section looks fine, but having it applied to the flat secondary hull just feels forced. It's like they picked only one Aztec texture and applied it everywhere, giving the ship a very amateurish look to it. Not every piece of a Starship has to have an Aztec pattern, especially if it wants to look intimidating.

And if you pay close attention to the center of the saucer, you'll note that half the bridge is visible through a huge window. I don't know what's more dangerous. A single photon torpedo aimed directly at it, or HAL zooming in really close to read everyone's lip movements.

Somebody's relative must've designed the Vengeance. Just awful. It just looks so....un-Star Trek like. And I even like the JJ-prise.
