Zlurpo, I've got a question: what's your reference for the side/back straps on the jacket? I get that they're there, but I don't recall seeing anything that shows those other than a couple of shots of the action figures... Have you seen some sort of photo you're able to share?

That pic posted above and the poster that's like a painted version of him are the only references I have of it so far. It may change as better resolution references pop up. In fact if you've seen action figures showing it I'd love to see those.

Happy to help however I can, but as you’ll see in these pictures, all these shots are really showing is the approximate location of a couple of little straps.
How they’re set-up, what hardware might go with them, what’s stitched-down and what isn’t all still remains a little mystery…

A slight adjustment to make it a bit shorter. There's a good chance there will be two versions, one that's movie-short (going to show your shirt under the jacket if you shrug or lift your arms at all) and a longer version that is more like a regular jacket. Probably a 2-3 inch difference.

I really like that you're going to do this :thumbsup
One of the big details of Solo's gear that people sometimes miss is just how short the length of his jackets & vest are!
But of course, that sort of detail might not be right for everyone (especially if they're not into cosplay of looking to have something super accurate or for display purposes only)
So, offering the longer version for those people who want a cut of this jacket to wear in their "day-to-day" lives is a great idea, Zlurpo!

Sample pics!!
There are still some changes. First off is color and material. It will still be suede, but it will be goat skin suede rather than split cowhide. This will make it slightly lighter weight (probably good, this is much heavier than I anticipated). The color should be darker than the sample, which has a true color of the rather orange looking 3rd pic. The rest of these have been photoshopped to look like the goal color. My manufacturer already has some of the darker color and is sending me a sample very soon. It's much more brown and much less orange.
The pocket on the sleeve will be lowered a bit. The stitching will be a bit lighter color. There are some small detail bits about the stitch placements that will change. And of course there will be a rectangle on the left breast that has stitching around it, and there will be a small metal plate in it that a magnetic pin can attach to. But overall I'm pretty happy with this for now.
Anyone in the continental US who orders before March 21 will get their jacket before May 25. If you live outside that area I will certainly try, but occasionally I've had issues with packages getting delayed for days with no given reason.

but for what it’s worth, I think the only thing that’s really jumping out at me as being an issue (outside of the other things you mentioned) is this ONE thing…
The point where the sleeves begin (at the top of the sleeve where it meets the shoulder):
It’s just a bit too much of a “bump” on each shoulder; it just stands UP when it should be more of a smooth transition from the shoulder down into the sleeve.
Can that be corrected in some way? Is there some sort of sewing or stitching method that better allows these things to flow together a little smoother?
(If it’s not already obvious, I’m not a person who knows anything about the techniques of doing these sorts of jobs, so please understand that I’m asking this sincerely when I ask IF it’s possible… I honestly don’t know)

100% agree. It was something I noticed right away. I *think* I know how to change that, and I'm sure my manufacturer knows
