Shiny! What does the assembled skull weigh? Looks like quite a bit, being completely solid?
thanks, it’s getting there.
I’d say just the complete skull easily around 22kg.
I wish it was a typo, would be easier to work on lol.Is that a typo? That would be 50% mor heavy than my 3 year old son ha ha!
That does sound a lot but it's kind of around what I was expecting for solid pewter. Must seem incredibly heavy to hold in the palm of your hand. That's around 13x what my aluminium skull weighs. Is that a typo? That would be 50% mor heavy than my 3 year old son ha ha!
Really nice detail on the castings! I think the small amount of porosity improves it, you can really see it's metal, not chromed plastic.Busy day polishing the left hand side of the skull.View attachment 1329125View attachment 1329126View attachment 1329127

Yeah it’s a beast. I would have preferred casting in aluminium. But that requires a lot more tools. You have to hold it with both hands, it’s difficult to hold one handed. That does sound a lot but it's kind of around what I was expecting for solid pewter.
