Has anyone needed to make the hole in the pommel larger to fit the tri-ring? Mine seems a little fatter than the hole.

I did but I used a custom tri ring compared to the one that came in the box. Just takes a steady hand and a drill to fix though.

Where you cut the tri ring, be sure to sand it make sure there isn’t any burrs.

Finished my Resigner kit. This hilt is sexy. It's like the Ferrari of hilts. Kudos to Starkiller and Halliwax for making this happen. Such a fun kit. I'm still considering swapping out the tri-ring and maybe countersinking the screws a bit more. But anyhow, here's my result.

Looks amazing. What color did you use for the neck and rails?

I started with a little aluminum black underlayer, then a brush on gold patina chemical and finished it off with a little rub n buff for extra texture.
Here is the chemical if you're interested in experimenting: Brass Gold Patina ETD-220

That’s crazy, I had no idea you could make aluminum look like brass with a chemical like this. Super cool.
