That would have been nice. In the end, however, I'm just glad that I have a sonic! I've been drawing up plans for a display for it. Soon as I get another project finished up, I'll give that a go.
It's funny, on another board, someone asked me for the measurements on the thing. The usual, take pictures by a ruler, etc. I replied to them that I had paid $430.00 for those measurements and I was going to keep all of it's secrets.
Jerk, maybe, but why give away the dims?....
I almost forgot to reply to these posts! :$Not at all. Why assist a re-caster? Especially after the emotional and financial investments you've made.
Anyway... first off, I personally won't call it "recasting" if he's just using the dimensions to produce his own. Recasting would be the act of taking an existing replica (MFX's, for example,) disassembling it, making molds of all the parts, and then producing his own replicas using those molds. :thumbsdown
That being said... I know some of you are probably sick of seeing this picture, since I've posted it probably 15 times, but take a closer look at the picture of MFX's 2 prototypes... pay particular attention to what they're laying on...

Looks like some sort of graphing paper, to me. Now, if someone could ID the EXACT sort of graph paper in that photo, they would then have all the information they'd need in regards to the dimensions!
But somehow, I doubt this alleged "recaster" is that bright. :rolleyes
