Thank you very much! I did make one of these on my 3D printer. I decided it should be a little larger than specs, but have yet to remake it with that in mind.
Well, make with the pics, buddy!

Just PM'd you your picks.
I'm starting to formulate my next design already. Just in case we do another of these!
Thanks! Here are the picks I made, I ignored the names of who posted them until I had the images in an order:
There were 8 designs that really screamed "original sonic screwdriver" at me. The hard part was putting them in an order that would end up eliminating three from the running. Despite that here are my votes in order and the points they get.
5 points for Doctor49152
4 points for Firejetmanguy
3 points for justinaalt
2 points for jedibugs
1 point for Muldwych
The three that I also like but didn't make the top five are tullfan81, cephalopodprods and Organic Mechanic.

I'd love to design a sonic, sadly it be just doodles by hand. Not very versed in pc applications.
For those interested, that design may well become a reality in the near future.![]()
Now, my question is: What were the criteria for assigning points? Was it just "I like this design 3 points worth." or was it more specific?
Then get to doodling! People were designing things long before the computer came around. This is just new tools for the same job.thumbsup
For me The reason I chose my top 3 were because I thought want that, & I can really see it as a Sonic. My winner also had the 'blimey that really is something different factor'.

Judges were asked to send me their top five picks in order. 1st was given 5 points, 2nd was given 4 points, and so on.

I was the runner up, and my design was completely hand-drawn. You're communicating a design. It's not a render contest.
