Limited Run Rey's Quarterstaff (Star Wars: Force Awakens) Resin Kit (First Pulls Pg 5)

Cool, it'll be two weeks for me to get the money but I have to be pretty far down the list since I only signed up a month ago.

Has anyone used materials other than wood for their build? Anyone try a metal pipe?
I haven't seen anyone try, but I'm sure it will work. Anything will work, as long as it has a 1" outer diameter. Wooden dowels just happen to be really cheap, and easy to get.

I am shipping out a bunch of kits today. I have also sent everyone else messages about payment info. If I have missed someone, please message me.

I'm definitely cranking kits out now.

I used multiple stages to attain the look I wanted.
1. Primer
2. Rustoleum Textured Antique Iron (all over)
3. Rustoleum Textured Stone (randomly spots)
4. Primer again (Black)
5. Graphite powder rubbed all over (only where the fingers reach)
6. Seal with a Matte clearcoat
7. Several washes of raw sienna, raw umber, burnt siena, burnt umber, and desert sand acrylics
8. Dry brush silver in select areas

I think I got pretty close the the real one:

That came out great. Glad you are happy with it.

I did the texture spray on mine and then sprayed everything black. Then did several washes of browns and tans, and then a silver dry brush.

Wow this turned out great. Wish I had the skills to do something like this. If you ever want to sell this one in the future, let me know :D

I have shipped all kits out for people that have paid. According to my list, there are 6 people that I have not heard back from yet.

I also have enough straps for 5 more deluxe kits, if anyone wants to jump on this run.

Might try and get a deluxe kit from you for a friend bud....the kit I got is still doin great by the way! Thanks again!

Any special secrets to wrapping the handle that people would like to share?
I just used some super glue on one end, and then started to wrap it around, and then super glued the other end. It holds pretty good, and I can adjust it if needed.
