This is my completed Tie Fighter model build from Revell / Fine Molds. I added photo etch to the interior walls for lighting and some photo etch details to the exterior of the ship to present a more accurate representation. I also lit the engines and have a button on my base to make the lasers fire. There is a also a random Tie sound effects button on my base as well.

And here's a link to my completed build video on YouTube, where you can see the engines and laser fire in action.

Love the interior lighting! Great idea of using the photo etch to allow the light to shine through! I now have to revisit my 1/48 Revell Tie Fighter and copy you!
