Rankin-Bass Rudolph puppets - re-creations?

BIG UPDATE TODAY!!!
I finished all of Rudolph's legs and his tail. THAT MEANS I'M FINISHED!!!

I made his hooves out of small bits and pieces of a wooden stick, and painted them black.

I also had time to make Rudolph's Little grass bed thing (I'm not sure what it's called). I made it out of some green string my dad let me have. It's not the most accurate but I like how it turned out.

And as for the man himself, I think I did a pretty good job (for my first try).

Is he the most accurate recreation? No. I would say he's pretty far from it. But he is definitely not bad looking, I really like this guy, and as my skills grow I will definitely go back and modify him a bit.
I had fun making him. And can't wait to make the others!!!

I still can't believe how long it has been!!!

- Also does anyone know what happened to pumpernickel?

use a ping pong ball for the eye. Just cut a tear drop shape using some small curved scissors. The original black pupil was thin leather.
Hey Vaderdarth! Just out of curiosity, did you ever finish the Hermey replica from 2011? I would love to see how it's holding up!!!

Been working on the child version of Rudolph. But would you guys like update photos like last time? Or just a few photos of the finished Rudolph?

This is a side note but I just read the entire thread from start to 2020, and I must say, I wish I was here when everyone was sharing their replicas, information on the puppets etc! This thread use to be super active with a lot of amazing people!

I have an update and some BAD NEWS.
First here is a small update.
I got around to finishing Rudolph's two front legs and neck! The legs were also much easier to get done then last time.

And now some bad news.
I have no wire left and the store I had got the wire from will no longer be stocking up on it. The wire I was using was long lasting and very cheap at price and my go to wire for making the Rudolph replicas.
This will mean I will have to find the same brand wire elsewhere (that will take a long while) or I might have to search for an entirely different brand of wire which can also take a while, mostly because I have to test all sorts of different types of wire.

I may not post any updates for a while because of this issue, and I hope to get everything figured very very soon!!!
Though in the meantime I hope to see some new replicas being made on this page!!!

So I was finally able to finish Rudolph's two back legs. And it was a pain in the neck. Now the shape of them maybe not the most accurate but I'm super happy with how they turned out.

Also his eyes. I used the same ping pong ball strategy that vaderdarth told me about. Big thanks again vaderdarth!!!
