Pirates of the Caribbean SAO FENG'S CHART Map WIP FULL MAP CANVAS

Thanks man. You should be getting yours among the first three. Just gotta take them to my buddy who is putting the words 'keep to the code' in chinese letters so it will look like this:

I started my map a long time ago, but put it aside for almost a year. I recently finished it up for a friend who's a CJS impersonator so naturally I had to share MY map pics, too!

I'm working on a movable ring map now.

I'm working on a map with moveable rings, but its difficult because the material the map is printed on wants to "curl" when rolled...:unsure

The map that spun was solid metal (brass if memory serves) rings on a solid platform. It was made to spin in insert/close up shots and thats it. The map itself was the same paper as the rest, some spray Super 77 and its a done deal.

With Super 77 spray, many get it wrong by either trying to apply the two parts being joined together before the adhesive gets tacky, they apply too much to one side or just apply it to one side. If you spray a good solid thin coat on both sides, allow it to tack up, then join the items, its a near unbreakable bond.

UPDATE: So I talked to Eli. He has 5 of the maps done and ready to ship and is going in the order of which people committed. He is in a remote place...don't know exactly where....but internet is only avaiable at a coffee shop. So he called and asked me to forward this along.

He is going to email me the tracking numbers so I can forward them to the proper people. So they are getting done, he just asks to be patient as they take some time to prepare.

Thanks,
Meta

I figured out the material to make the map functional as a volvelle! I am going to scan my map again and start it in a couple weeks! I'm really excited!

I found (for me anyways) when I sprayed adhesive to the back of one of my printed canvases, it began to saturate, and messed up part of my map image.

However, I did not use Super77.

I don't know the guy...But maybe he's finishing them up. Sheesh, my map took a long time too to complete.
