well apparently one person has told me they haven't made any new version in 2015.
the chinese replica lot have obtained around 200 to 300 pairs of actual 2011 authentic shoes from some warehouse, and are leftovers from the original run supposedly.
whether its true or not remains to be seen, but i am speaking to someone to confirm this sudden $699 mag bollocks.

You will easily be able to tell anyway from a RD and a replica.
Jedifyfe was at the launch in 2011 and he has stated a few times that there was a wall of MAGs that were seconds or rejects only to be used for display purposes, not auctioned off. Wouldn't it be awesome if this said 200 or 300 pair of shoes were those shoes?

UPDATE on that caulking silicone. When used on a pair of shoes that had no polyurethane on the mid-sole (you may have seen images of my US8s where I had layered white rubber in the recess?), the bond seems good. However, it seems to just peel away from where the polyurethane was. Maybe because when it air cures it goes shiny, don't know. So tonight I had to grind out the white rubber I have laid in there and then trim my clear parts to make sure they fit (the poly left a build up) before using the silicone. Even though cure time is less than 2 hours, I will let it set up over night and see how it is in the morning.

I must say, the white looks really cool under the clear (even on the darker soles) especially with the lighter grey on the mid-soles. If this method works, it "kills.two birds with one stone".

I was at that release too. That wall was awesome.

However, Nike is a company that would rather burn that whole wall in a dumpster fire than let any defects out into the world. When you have stupid money, you do stupid things.

All too true. Yep they would have done just that.

UPDATE on the silicone. Ummm, yeah. Great for a dispolay pair, not sure it would stand up to wearing them. If it is thick enough it works, but if not, it just peels.

So I will stripping back both pairs I am working on now (even though technically they are both display pairs) and bonding with a proper glue after I re-coat the surface in white polyurethane rubber. I might just coat the inside of the clears and let them set up on a level surface. That way the inside surface is 100% coated.

I am also making the mold for the re-worked ankle bubbles. I am making these standard size to fit all V2s and HCs the bubble itself being larger, so it protrudes.

After I finish my new heel cups (and mold those), I will making a slightly larger more accurate set to go with those.

No pic at this time, but I had a small amount of silicone left over from the first part of the pour, so have made a simple open back mold of my BTTF2 dehydrated Pizza. I am making myself a few copies so I don't have to worry about losing the original one I made when I take it to cons etc.

I was also at the Mag event in 2011 and from what I was told, the wall of mags were gifted to friends, family and people that worked on the project (the pairs that came in the black boxes)

I have heard that the factory that made the RD Mags did produce a hundred or so additional pairs though.

Oh, absolutely.... That was the other angle I was gonna sell too... The family and friends potential. But that was less fun :p

Otherwise...... Since when did people start trusting people with money, over the internet, in other countries? I guess if you want something bad enough, you'll try to convince yourself just about anything.

If they are real, God bless you, but Nike wouldn't let them get out there unless they were STOLEN. They would never allow some defect shoe be out there and devalue the shoes they sold for thousands for charity. Just wouldn't happen.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Nikes, but we should all be happy that at least the knock offs exist.

I am and have enjoyed wearing them since mid 2013. The problem I face right now is my MAGs are dying. I have worn a small hole in both just above the tip of the heel cup and have no idea on how to repair that without completely ruining the shoes.

Damn Cavx, I'd have to see that. The tip by the LEDs? You must wear them a lot. I only plan to wear mine at special occasions and parties. That's a shame, but you've certainly got a lot of use out of them.

I guess the only real option is to hang them up, and make a new wear pair. Crappy, but you're a pro. Or, are we discussing that the Version 2's are no longer available so you're worried that you won't be able to get another pair to build? Either way, you're Cavx, you'll find a way.

Off the top of my head, without seeing it. Perhaps gluing some grey cloth on the inside behind the hole, almost like a patch.????

There used to be a particular type of silicone which also was deliberately made to function as a glue, I recall from my working in a hardware shop days.... trying to think of the name of it now. It wasn't as cheap as regular silicone, but might be something to try..... aha! Sikaflex! the construction sealant, I think. http://usa.sika.com/en/residential/residential-pim/02a024/02a024sa008.html

White swoosh on, it is handly cut after 20 tries of laser cuting only the left swoosh was good enough so i had to do 15 tries to reach this swoosh with xacto, i am not 100% satisfied but you have to look really close to see it is handcuted.

nice Klen. If I were to get a set of black V2's I'd just go with white and black too. Wasn't a fan of that gold colour. Did you try cutting with a really sharp, new pair of scissors? How would that work out? I haven't worked with fake leather yet as there is no shop near me. But a materials shop is opening close by soon!

I Could give it a try but cutting this material with scissors is hard because it is thick (~2mm).

When you use scissors on stuff like that, you need to make each cut a single one or you get small bumps along the line. Not the easiest thing to do sometimes. Laser cutting would be ideal for this.
