@cavx laser burns and for white it isn't good at all it leaves yellow marks and burn marks on the sides, the vectors on the picture must have less points as possible to make the laser cut as fast as possible, and on a swoosh like that it is nearly impossible or you have a very fast laser machine.

The easyest way would be to laser cut a piece of metal that would make like a think pattern for the xacto to go exactly where the holes are made in the metal piece.

I thought about it but i would give it a try if my swooshes die over the time.

Can you or the operator control the speed at which it cuts?

If using a knife, make yourself a template first that you can flip, and you should be able to cut out two symmetrical parts.

Just jumped on this thread and this is probably a really stupid question but I'm so confused on the differences of all these shoes and versions. Are you saying that this link is the newest pair being made by Nike and they are only $700 bucks?... That's not bad right?... I figured that would be the price or higher if or when Nike comes out with them later this year. I still see them going or thousands on ebay. In your honest opinion are these on this link the best newest version for sale currently?...

Again I apologize for the stupid question, I am just so confused and I want to make sure that I'm not wasting my money. Or should I wait until Nike releases the power laces this year?

A bit of history.

Real shoes is first seen on film in 1989.
Mark Poon makes world first replica about 2004. They were good, not 100%, but a good height and but came in one size only.
2011 NIKE release 1500 pairs on auction
2011 Chinese "V1 replica" is released. This is a PVC shoe that is a copy of the MP shoe, but no where as good. Cost about $50.
2012 Chines release "V2 replica MAG" Much closer to the NIKE shoe, still not perfect. $250
2015 It appears the Chinese have obtained a pair of the 2011 NIKE MAGs which they are now claiming they are making replicas of. Still way too early to throw any money at.

cavx forgot one. In 2014, halloweencostumes.com released an officially licensed (by Universal Studios, not Nike) version of the Nike Air MAGs from BTTF2. They are not as accurate as the V2s (even though they are made by one of the same Chinese companies that makes the V2), have no Nike branding on them anywhere and are much cheaper than the V2s ($99 instead of $230 and up). RPF member markpoon makes and sells a EL Nike logo strap kit for the HC and V2 versions ($45) as well as a kit for the HC version that includes the Nike swooshes and Nike MAG heel cup logos ($28). As far as I know the HC version of the shoes and both of markpoons kits (sold here at the RPF) are still available from the original vendors.

So, IF they have made replicas that are spot on and you "prebuy" them, they will take your money and then up the price by a couple hundred dollars and tell you that if you want them, you need to pay the difference. It's EXACTLY what happened the first go around. WAIT, make sure these are really happening and wait until they post the real prices.

These have seen better days. What happened to the soles? They look like they caught on fire at one point.
