But they're the same size as the record case? I don't want to store them inside, I'd rather display them on to under an acrylic box.

This is what I got as an answer. I'm not too sure if its legit, but I think if they send you a bad pair DHgate should theoretically refund you because there is a guarantee. So it might be worth the gamble.

Not quite because I am not making these from Fibre Glass. I have worked with fibreglass and I really don't like the stuff the stuff with the smell and the itch etc. So what I want is to make a tube bag that looks the part (lids to wrap around the body etc), but lighter than the PVC versions I have seen (and made myself). To do this, I am choosing to thermoform this from plastic. Because I will "female tool" this, I should be able to keep at least a 3mm wall thickness.
There are other versions of this bag that are made from card tube (sonos tube, I think is what it is called. They use it to make concrete pillars for houses and some audio enthusiasts make speakers from it). I just don't think a cardboard tube is going to good enough to be used and from the images I have seen, i certainly don't want the spiral pattern around the body and lids.
The ends will most likely be clear, but I may offer an opaque option.
Some parts ( like the internal supports for the lids) may even have to be cast yet. Right now, I am working to make a big ass vacuum former that can actually pull the 11" diameter tubes.

I have a lot of experience with glow in the dark materials. Most glow in the dark paints are disappointing. Are you wanting to replace the EL with glow in the dark? I have had best results with gitd paint when I mix it myself. Fine strontium aluminate powder in a clear medium of your choice. If there is interest in gitd panels to replace the EL...this is something I could make easily. I think cavx mentioned he already made some before though? Maybe you have some already made?
