Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Yeah, but not at $500+ they won't...
I know, and that is my point : a basic shoe without electronics for a reasonable price would help a lot of people get the shoes
others would go and add their electronics if they are able to do so and lazy "rich" people would go with the 500$ all electronics shoe.

personnally i'll have 2 or 3 pair without electronics and 0 with the actual shoe if i can't be sure of :
- the sizing
- be afraid to break them after 2/3 wearing in safe environement
- anyway i won't wear a 500$ shoe :/

You know modern medicine really is making leaps and bounds in prosthetics and replacements.

Isn't prevention better than cure?

Get some skin safe silicone and take a mold of your arches using that skin safe 2 part silicone putty.

You need to be seated and have your knees bent at 90 degrees when it sets. Trim and glue (using calking silicone to glue silicone) to the innersoles of the MAGs and should be OK.

Ok :) Thanks RVLF and Cavx, I´m going to start the project but i will start first with the paper models and then starting to buy the things, but now i have idea how to make them :D thank you so mutch guys really precieated ;)
yes, this is the best thing to do : start with paper or foam just to get the shape right and for cheap. After you would go to the real thing.

Don't forget to mention me on your thread so i can find it and subscribe to it wit a "@" and my name after the "@" ;)
don jon this would just make more people getting them and those who have the miney would go for the all include pair.

RVLF There is already a 100 dollar version in amazon though. Just needs the nike swoosh. Its not the v3 i know.
Rich people will just buy the cheap version and add the leds themselves lol. Not good business for davidjones

Hello I made an account not long ago. Have not used much and don't know the ins and outs of the forum. But yes I can help with many many things. Looks like I am receiving emails when I am mentioned in a quote and will be able to respond.
Jeremy.
It appears @jjdelp is a member here. I am certain he can provide insight into effective ways of preventing the EL from breaking.

Jeremy.

I just made an account too. In fact, I emailed you earlier today about upgrading the V3 electronics to allow the LED patterning.

There res appears to be a recurrent problem with the V3's EL panels breaking without much use. davidjones888 just made the EL's a standalone part that can be bought. Do you have any suggestions on how to reinforce the panels to protect against them breaking?

I wouldn't touch them and just wear them and not worry about It. But no need to cut on shoe until that happens to reinforce because you may never end up having problems.

Use foam. Paper does not bend in two different directions at the same time and tends to crease. Foam is also free standing.

Life is just too short to make all the mistakes yourself. So if you are able to learn from other people, then you are in front. There are many things I wish were shared things like this. We never had Internet until the mid 90s when these tips would have been useful.

hi , we have fixed the panel .

And we sell the panel now .

pls check it here : http://www.sneakerahead.ru/nike-mag-el-panel-p-174669.html

im kinda against the idea of davidjones selling shoes with out lights
i mean
what is the point of that
the shoes are known for their leds
really
if anything
why not wait
and just buy some defective shoes at discounted price
im pretty sure people in the future might sell em if they ever encounter malfunctions
heck even david may be able to find scratch and dent pairs for those looking for a bargain

the shoes are already replicas, degrading them would just make them worthless

@davidjones888 how are the auto lacing shoes coming along?

it is not sure now . we are still working for it

It was discussed previously already that they are putting in the panels in the v3 incorrectly.

Additionally, the way the panel is made, there is nothing much which can be done to reinforce the middle area.

From what I can see. It seems like they have just sellotaped the copper tape at the back, which may probably fix the issue.

I will compare the v3 ones with my panels when I get them. My panels are made differently and shaped slightly differently.

Well, i'm a size 13 (47.5 in EU), but the EL size list only goes up to 46. Should I get the size 46 EL?

I doubt there is much difference in the size of the clear soles hence why you can use the same size panel in 2 or 3 sizes.

just get whichever is the nearest size.

airair Thanks, yea really happy with how they are turning out. The molds are made from size 10.5 which fits 10 and probably 9.5, but haven't confirmed it yet. Need the measurements of the soles for size 9.5 and 9 to confirm.

it is entirely possible they only use three sizes for the panels across all of the shoe sizes.

If they are anything like the V2s then yeah, there won't be a different size for each.

When I made the clears for the V2s, I called them Small (fits US8 and US8.5), Medium (fits US9.5 and US10) and Large (fits US11, US12 and US13 with some trimming).
I'm sure when I made EL templates and later the GITD molds, I only needed two different sizes for the EL. With GIDT, I made a one size fits all plate.
