If I could get a pair of soles, and I knew how, I'd swap them onto my pair of shibusa I just bought. I wouldn't even care if they lit up.
There is a metric ton of "sole swap" video tutorials on YouTube. The main issue I would see would be if the glue lines matched up with the shoes being different makes/models. Assuming the shoes are the same model, it is boil some water and pour it inside the shoe. Wait for the glue to soften, the pull the uppers off. The best tip I ever saw was glue the new midsoles on a little bit at a time using C clamps to hold the glue section tight.
