It was a design choice. Vic wanted the saber to have a premium look. So he made little adjustments like remove the Philips head screw from the saber, owing to not thinking it looked like it belonged in Star Wars

Well known Obi-Wan cosplays in the early 2000s, did a lot of research on the EP1/EP2 Obi lightsaber, and did one of the first if not the first run of pretty accurate Obi-Wan PT lightsaber replicas. He’s also an all around nice guy.

Yes. I rebuilt a pair of Obi-Wan ANH lightsabers for him many years ago. Super nice guy. The studio where he records his anime shows is here in NTX.

Same here… never knew that about Vic and his connection to DBZ. Broly was one of my favorite characters.
I don't remember Vic ever doing a "run". I thought his saber was a one-off.
You are probably right, it’s been so long I can’t remember. I thought it was a super-small run but it was probably just his personal saber.

He sold some upgrade parts for Larbel's sabers (brass valve and purple hemi) But I don't think he did a full run of the saber.
Not taking sides or trying to perpetuate the rumor mill, and always take what you read on the interwebs with a grain of salt, but this post seems to explain why he’s been less active in the voice over community…

Interesting. I only know him from the work I did for him on his lightsabers and seeing him on-and-off at the yearly NTX prop parties. He was always very nice and gracious to me, and everyone at the yearly get-togethers seemed to enjoy his company as well. He and I don’t hang out or anything so those stories about him are news to me. I can’t say anything about what’s been said because I just learned about them now and I don’t know anything. All I can say is he was always very nice and courteous to me.
